At the end of the year 2010 TorrentFreak has published its most pirated movies games chart, overlooking the most downloaded games of 2010. Among the PC games, Call of Duty: Black Ops seems to be the absolute winner of the year. Meanwhile, on Xbox 360, Dante’s Inferno appears to be the most popular game. Finally, Super Mario Galaxy 2 occupied the first place of the most pirated Wii chart.
Actually, Call of Duty: Black Ops has already emerged in the news a couple times this year. For legal sales, 5.6 million copies of the game have been sold in the first day following its release. Call of Duty: Black Ops is even reported to surpass Modern Warfare 2 as the greatest entertainment launch in history. In short words, it came as no surprise when the game repeated its success on P2P, taking the honor of most downloaded game on the PC of 2010 (this title was taken by Modern Warfare a year ago). Despite the fact that the game has only been available for several weeks, it beat Battlefield: Bad Company 2 by a margin with 4,270,000 downloads.
However, this success didn’t remain the same on the Xbox 360 and Wii charts. Instead, Donkey Kong and Mario have been in high demand on the Wii, taking the 3rd and 1st place respectively. Meanwhile, Wii Party occupies the 2nd place with more than a million downloads, but Black Ops only managed to break into the top 5.
As for the Xbox 360, it seems like the title of most pirated game was taken by Dante’s Inferno, which was released back in February and accounted to of 1,280,000 downloads in total. The game beat Black Ops which also appeared in 5th place only. However, it did manage to make the headlines a few times thanks to its early leak. It was weeks ahead of the official release of the game, when reports came in that the Xbox 360 version had already leaked online. It later appeared that not all leaks were legit, but a copy of Black Ops eventually came out a week ahead of the official date. The efforts from Treyarch’s community manager to stop the leak turned out to be useless.
For someone keeping track of the charts, it has been clear throughout the year that PC games are by far the most popular titles, accounting for over 3 times the number of downloads compared to other platform releases. Meanwhile, the number of downloads in each category grew compared to 2009.

A little off topic here...I have just got a new 6 core comp with high res video card with windows 7 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice Call of duty ET link. I see so many and am more of a movie guy and platform game downloader than A PC game downloader. So the easier, the better (set up and mount) or if you don't mind a few in-box messages if I get confused with the actual setup.
Thanks in advance,
