Anonymous has posted another information dump within its AntiSecurity campaign. It seems like targeting the Arizona police department 2 times wasn’t enough, so hackers have exposed it a 3rd time.
Another AntiSec dump has apparently exposed the Arizona police department once again, with Anonymous issuing a new statement, announcing of the third knockout blow against Arizona law enforcement. This time the hacktivists decided to get destructive and deface 8 Fraternal Order of Police sites, as well as release a master list of more than 1200 officer’s user names, passwords, and emails. Moreover, the group leaked hundreds of private documents and mail spools of FOP presidents and a police chief. Besides, the FOP webmaster, whose insecure web development skills were responsible for the leak, was also targeted. Anonymous claimed that they did what they did because they opposed to SB1070 and the racist Arizona police state.
According to the hacker group, the leaked emails contain more racist chain emails, including those belonging to Springerville’s police chief and FOP president. The latter was forwarding anti-muslim emails and purchased lots of guns, so the hackers decided to dump his Paypal and credit card information, too.
The hackers confessed that they had been passing around the password list for a while already, and surprisingly found lots of dirt and personal data in everybody’s emails. They originally leaked bits and pieces of that info in order to expose and instill fear into the cops of Arizona, but the list in question proved to be too great, so now they are seeking community assistance in examining everybody’s inbox in order to retrieve and expose their secrets. Internet users are encouraged to go forth and bring mayhem to the lives of “those corrupt cops”, telling Anonymous what they found.
This third dump differs from the previous ones, as it was not posted to the world’s most popular BitTorrent tracker The Pirate Bay, because the tracker website was offline for maintenance at the time. Instead, the content has been posted to some cyberlockers. Although provided IsoHunt link led to a 404 error when checked last time, the content will undoubtedly be posted to BitTorrent once The Pirate Bay is back online. Meanwhile, the file size now is less than 55MB, which makes it the smallest dump to date.
