Problems with Microsoft Security Essentials
Microsoft's antivirus software Security Essentials has identified Google's browser Chrome as malware and removed the program from about 3,000 computers.
Security Essentials believed apparently that Chrome was a password-stealing Trojan for the Zeus family - Win32/Zbot - and hurried to delete the program.
Google responded with this This blog
the blog you can read how you sorted the problem
Microsoft apologizes that can be Read here
where they recommend that customers update
but you can not read about why the Security Essentials, did not know the difference between trojan and a browser
so one may wonder whether it has anything to do with that google has become too great a rival sicne soon google is No. 2 on the browser market, surpassed only by microsoft own browserPosted by: Date:

It prob has more to do with how the file installs... Google prob cirumvents certain things in their installation. Which is the same problem that comes up with our little hacks, I have to set AVG to ignore most of our keygens and cracked files because they also come up with this same trojan warning, My Crisis2 and Nero have been deleted in the past the same way....
So I am sure its more of a security thing than a vendeta thing... and happens because they have their anti-virus set to auto-fix any problems
Deleting Chrome, locking out Linux... seems like Microsoft is just living up to company policy, out-bully the competition, rather than out-perform them with a better product.
thnx for the read....../agree with #2 Post

I love it. Google was good but the chrome sucks. Censorship draws the line.
maybe because the browser isn't installed on your hard drive, and runs mostly from the web.
also, most anti-virus programs will delete or quarantine cracks or keygens based only on the name of the file, even if it doesn't have any virus in the keygen or crack file.
good way to take out the competition lol

@2 spot on in my eyes mate, but i think others have a point too, MS getting really greedy of late, trying to stop linux cheeky if you ask me
chrome is junkware
this is what and why i don't like microsoft and even hate it so much. what a narrow-minded corporate culture and sore loser! i just finished watching "freerunner", microsoft is just like those runners who would use any dirty tricks even back stabbing to their opponents, would do any possible low blows to the new kids on the block.
If you really believe what microcrap states - ooopppssss sorry; I have some cheap ocean front property in Arizona for sale.
I could maybe believe what microcrap says of chrome was a brand spanking new browser; but it isn't..
There are many cases where microcrap has pulled this stunt and gotten sued for it. As for me I won't even come near internet exploder..
Nope I don't believe microcraps claim unless they can prove it was some pissed off former employee that messed with the definition files.
I remember an article recently where micrcrap is trying to get a special Bios used instead of the normal BIOS from you guessed it to be used in systems to authenticate the software running on a system as legitimate..
Microcrap is losing market shares steadily over the years given advancement in Linux and Linux is at the point in ease of use as current mass marketed microcrap OS..
Microcrap realized years ago their time is limited and this is why you see allot of microcrap logos and likes of msnbc, etc. They are buying in to other businesses; mainly medic and communications.
Real power is the control of information..
I agree fusseltier, They save all of your info for infinity also !!!!!
lol microsoft used to do a similar thing years ago when chrome started they blocked other browsers from using hotmail until they got caught out
