The United States of America told Spain that if it doesn’t introduce legislation similar to SOPA, it will face a trade blacklist. Currently the SOPA bill is being pushed through in the United States by a number of lawmakers depending on campaign donations from different members of the entertainment industry.
American authorities have been demanding other states to introduce similar police-state style acts. According to the media reports, some leaked letter sent to Spain’s outgoing President by the American ambassador to the country contained a warning that unless passing SOPA-style censorship legislation, the country risked being put on a US trade blacklist. And it looks like the warning worked, because the new Spanish government is currently working with the United States to hand over its legal system to the entertainment industry so they are able to lock up who and when they like. It was a kind of days of Franco, but in this case there was no civil war to remove human rights in Spain first.
A Wikileaks cable has recently revealed the America’s heavy handed treatment of an EU member. That’s where a controversial draft of a new Spanish copyright law was proved to have been written by the United States. One more diplomatic leak has shown how the United States was furious that Spanish President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapaterowas wasn’t planning to pass the America-drafted Sinde (website filtering) legislation before leaving office.
The letter was signed by the ambassador of the United States Alan D. Solomont and addressed to the Spanish Prime Minister's office. It has shown that the United States was expressing deep concern over the failure to introduce the SOPA-style filtering legislation. There, Solomont claimed that the authorities failed to finish this work for some political reasons and to the detriment of the reputation and economy of the country. Actually, it wasn’t Solomont’s fault in the last days of the office, as he tried.
Meanwhile, the incoming Partido Popular (translated as People’s Party) was instantly pressured by the United States to introduce the law and bring it in within ten days of taking office. As a result, Spain is broke easily succumbed to the threat of trade retaliation from the United States.

My God!!! When are the people of our United States going to take the power we gave to the government away, and start fresh? Americans have grown so comfortable in every day life that we continue to let the government have full rein. Now for years the Usa have been pushing and threatening other countries and its sad to see these countries take a knee as the Usa strips them of there believes. What are we all so afraid of that we can't step up ans say enough is enough. I know that a revolution would result in a nuclear attack against the citizens of the Usa. Before the government would allow people to take command they would kill us all with out batting a eye. They say that the Internet has nothing to do with freedom of speech, or rights. Any communication has its right to freedom of speech. We will undoubtedly stand bye and continue to allow Us government to strip us of our rights and add or take away from the constitution as they want." Benjamin Franklin-My friends as we stand here today let it be known that putting this constitution into effect will result in a corrupt and power hungry Government, and if this Government is not over thrown bye the people and for the people with in a stretch of two hundred years, there may be no limits to the power this Government may posses, as i sign my name i hope that the hand of God will remain with this document and be upheld as we intend for our generations." 1776 day and month unknown. I ask and plead with you all to stand up, and fight harder than you have ever fought before, conserve our heritage and rights. Stand as one nation unto the Government and voice your freedom of speech while you have it, and it will be a felony to speak out against our Government. I ask and plead with all Online titans to take a stand, and let the Government know that if this bill is passed that we might as well shut the whole thing down..The internet was fun and free, and our generation has a chance to preserve it as it is for our children's future, so please if you read this let the Government know that we our not zombies or robots to be controlled, let them know that our minds are fruitful and filled with great passion for our rights to remain, and liberty to not be taken in vein, for with out liberty, we our mindless slaves following instruction as a mindless coward. SO for you Internet titans please know we appreciate you standing behind us, and shouting our words and giving us a place to stand, let our Government know that we will not stand for these laws, and revocation of our Rights. Let them know we mean business, and let them know that you intend to shut the internet down, and let them see that communication for the future will be as high tech as a telephone. And to the hacker groups out there standing up for us, we thank you. God Bless us all, and may our Government fold, and become a new light brightening our futures and reserving our freedoms and adding new freedoms to lift us up and above those that mean us harm.

One day we'll all look back and say "remember when you could do this on the internet, remember when you could do that on the internet".
Peolpe need to boycott companies that support SOPA. Theres a app for android that can help you determine whether they are made by or associated with a SOPA-supporting brand. A product returns a “bad item” alert if it is made by one of 873 SOPA-supporting brands. College juniors Chris Thompson and Chris Doranti, students at the University of British Columbia, compiled the list from media reports and Reddit links. The apps called : Boycott SOPA.
Theres also a addon for firefox to help you bypass SOPA :DeSopa.
When turned on, DeSopa intercepts URLs, sends the base URL to three offshore DNS services via HTTP, makes a best effort to check that two of them are equivalent, caches the IP for the browser session, redirects to the equivalent URL using the IP, and substitutes out the domain name in the source code with the IP address for future requests.
check them out! fight the Man

It is time family. We have to fight or die and I'm not gonna die without doing some serious damage. This isn't George Orwell's 1984 or is it. To hell with that. We are the 99% and we out number the demons like Darrell Issa, who is a paid puppet for big business and also behind the US Postal Service's demise. We have to fight and shut the net down if we have to. They are trying to take away our voice. Nah, we can't let that happen.
umm to 1 chill dude the government is nothing else than a way to control people and before that came into existence there was and still is something we call religion , the same thing different name , btw SOPA ...cant wait till the internet gets pissed off so bad that itll all go the deep webz route, just more advanced xD

That's the problem though isn't it, out here in the virtual world we can think and act big but in the real world 90% of the people spouting this don't actually care what happens to the rest of the world as long as we can go to the shops and but our microwave dinners.
Before you stars flaming I do mean me too, I'm not a great hacker but I can do things that most hackers can't but I know, and it saddens me to say this, that in reality while here I may be a keyboard cowboy out in the real world I work in a call centre and every day I listen to the same old stuff from the same old people and in reality no one really cares what happens to someone else outside of your family and friends because they don't exist to us, there faces in the crowd or something to step over to get to the prize, that nice tv or that nice new car or that Xbox 360 with the gold plate case and we give these things status like they actually mean something..
Oh well, I just though for once I'd be honest about myself and the world and see what happens.. Flame away...
