After the unfortunate devastation razed by Magnitude 7 Quake in Haiti on this Wednesday, that buried lakhs and left thousands badly injured, homeless and turned the streets, schools and National Palace into graveyards, now the Celebs from Hollywood to Sports are stepping up for helping the victims.

Tiger Woods, Golfer is donating $3 million as an attempt to create a mobile hospital in Haiti and is ready to book his name in good ones. Woods is said to be hiding somewhere in South Africa after being exposed by some mistresses who had secret relationships with Woods.

According to a website, rap mogul Russell Simmons took Tiger’s side and said, “Wood is considering donation so that it would help send doctors and supplies to Haiti to deal with the aftermath of the earthquake” Simmons made more effort by calling up many celebs and making appeals to fans to join him and help Haiti through twitter too.

Hollywood is also on its way to help the victims. Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks , Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are and Clooney are some of them. Wyclef Jean, rapper, and an Haiti’ian reached to Haiti just as he got the information of such devastation. He said, “ I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, & idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in Port-au-Price face catastrophe alone. We must act now.”

Tyra Banks, Supermodel who just turned a TV presenter and along with Jessica Alba, are making an appeal to their fans to help the victims and make a relief effort. They used twitter and what Tyra Banks posted on Twitter is, “My thought are w/all those suffering on Haiti during this major catastrophe. I donated, you should too…” And Jessica Alba posted dedicating her 1000th tweet to the cause, “My 1000th tweet is for the people of Haiti. Donate for the earthquake relief for Haiti visit www.yele.org.” Moreover, hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs posted, “Gold Bless Haiti! God please! State of Emergency!”

Alyssa Milano, MC Hammer, Rainn Wilson, Adam Lambert , Lindsay Lohan and even Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California were the other ones who made an appeal for donations. Schwarzenegger said, “Maria(his wife) and I send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Haiti as they continue to respond to this tragedy…”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the super couple donated $1 million to aid the campaign. The couple said, “We are devastated by the news from Haiti. We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”

George Clooney has planned to organize a marathon as his effort for helping the victims. The reports are not confirmed yet but it is said to be told on Friday, January 22. Celebs such as Sting and so many others are expected to join the marathon.

A deal has been signed recently by US with Cuba to send medical evacuation flights with quake victims from Haiti through restricted Cuban airspace and 90 minutes have been reduced from the flight timings to Miami.

Barack Obama requested George Bush and Bill Clinton to help the quake victims.

Now it’s your turn to help the Quake-Hit-Haiti. What are you waiting for? Help the needy.

GOD BLESS HAITI

SnakeyB avatarI din't comment on the other Haiti post as it became a political forum. But for God sakes godchaser, if you and your family, city, county, State, country was in need, I and many other people would step up to the plate and try to do what we could. Don't blame a people for there Government. They are hurt, scared, hungry, homeless, and have just lost countless of family and friends. I must be a fool because I am being parted from my money. The amount I have saved here on ET alone would feed a village, better to give it to the people than the corporations.

SnakeyB avatargodchaser, talk to your own Government about the waste of Tax Dollars. There is more than enough to help your people and the Haitians.

Shedevil avatarty snakey i agree with u 100% i don't agree that every aid we have should go to those people when right here in the united states we have homeless veterans out on the street begging for a dollar to get something to eat or for a blanket to just keep warm me and my hubby have 2 homeless people we buy food for everyday and everyday when they get that food from us they run sit down and eat the stuff so fast cause they r so hungry they puke it right back up it breaks my heart every day when i see them and we do that there is no reason what so ever that a veteran who has fought to keep the good ole usa free should b on the street homeless

No avatarTHERE ARE TIME WHEN YOU TURN TO YOUR OWN AND THEY TURN THEIR BACK ON YOU AND TOTAL STRANGER COME ALONG AND LIFT YOU OFF THE GROUND. YOU WAS NOT EXPECTING THEM TO COME ALONG BUT THEY DID, IT WAS NOT THEIR JOBS TO DO BUT THEY DO IT ANYWAYS. THEN YOU REALIZED THAT THERE IS HOPE EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO FAITH. PEOPLE WHO GIVES KEEP ON GIVING, YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY LIVES YOU ARE SAVING NOT JUST TO HAITI BUT TO ANY NATION WHO A DISASTER HAS STRIKE IN WHICH THEY NEED ASSISTANCE. WE NEVER KNOW WHEN WE WILL NEED THEIR HELP ONE DAY, SOMETIMES THE VERY PEOPLE WE REJECT ARE THE VERY ONE MET ALONG THE WAY. A LOT OF YOU HERE HAD HELP HAITI AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT YOUR REWARD IS.

CosmicKidd avatarCan ANYBODY tell me which country was the first to offer help and aid when Katrina hit? The world thinks of us as "the bad guys", but yet WE are the first to offer relief. I believe in humanitarian efforts, but don't we need to look inside first, then outside.

SnakeyB avatarCosmickid, The first was Canada, within seconds, The UK, Mexico then France, Germany, then all of Europe. One of the slowest Countries was the US. Not because of the people because of your own governments inept response. Instead of the good people of New Orleans getting the help they needed the blame game started.

godchaser avatarSnakeyB that's exactly what the United States is great at avoiding responsibility and shifting blame......they don't act they simply create the appearance of action after they've dropped the ball.....people talk about New Orleans needing help as if it was in the past tense and no longer needed. They are still suffering mate, still struggling still in need of assistance.

But as is so often the case if you are out of sight, you are out of mind! When was the last time you saw anything about New Orleans in the media???? Haiti is some second rate 3rd world island country that never helped anyone! They've done nothing but been a parasite with its people numbering among the top 5 in illegal US immigrants!

As far as homeless people in the US living better than most Haitians, all I can say is BUL*SH*T! What an absolutely ignorant comment! I also believe there are more than the choices Heal or Kill! Mind your own business, Take care of your own first, just to name two! Gotta love the attempt to make people feel guilty though...BRAVO!!!!!

godchaser avatarMy own government???? And SnakeyB, I left the United States, have no interest in maintaining my citizenship. I'm ashamed and embarrassed to be an American! Thankfully my kids won't be, they'll be raised in a more tolerant and balanced, socially conscious and active country!
