A week ago Kim Dotcom, recently bailed by the local authorities, released his own song called “John Banks Song” on YouTube.
Those who don’t know who John Banks is and how he is related to Kim Dotcom should know that he is the head of the ACT New Zealand political party, and the minister for Small Business and Regulatory Reform. MegaUpload’s founder reportedly donated $38.000 to his 2010 campaign for mayor of the city of Auckland, and is now to be questioned by local authorities over these claims.
Meanwhile, John Banks denies that he violated any elections legislation, and says that he didn’t visit Dotcom’s home to meet him. According to the political observers, his poll numbers decreased to 10% ever since the political scandal. There were quotes in the articles like the “crown lawyers acting for the US knew before seizing Kim’s money and property that they were using an invalid court order”.
Worse still, the local newspaper, which has been filling inquires through the Official Information Act, said that “police officers involved into raid in the mansion of online magnate Kim Dotcom went as far as to put together a list of belongings for the US authorities to seize”.
Last week, Prime Minister John Key denied that he knew Kim Dotcom until the day before the scandal, even though his senior ministers, a string of senior civil servants, and of course his own electorate staff were all involved in issues relating to him. It turned out that staff in the Prime Minister’s own department knew about MegaUpload’s founder and his bid through the Overseas Investment Office to purchase the house where he lived with his family.

As the old joke states: How can you tell if a Politician is lying? His lips are moving......
Hmmm Can't remember a 50,000 claimed donation?
Kim has them by the balls and is now dragging all the dirt out into the light.
I'd like to see kim do another song with Whoop There it is? BUT it would be a copyright violation if he couldn't get permission to do it.
stupid question but is it a smart thing to try and anger the country that is wanting to keep you from extradition
Much bigger problems in the UK, makes the FBI seem like Noddy in his toy car!
Mentioned this before, but just to remind everyone. The music and film moguls know they haven't a cat in hell's chance of doing anything about piracy (And I would suggest EVERYONE in the UK changes over to Non-UK DNS servers, so the courts have no jurisdiction whatsoever over your browsing!) but they don't like TPB hosting a lot of material by unsigned bands, hence their action. Just like the FBI ripping into MegaUpload, because the 'ultra-richie's took fright over Mega's intended new media business model that would cut out the likes of the music and film companies.
Bigger fish to fry in the UK, as the Government want to store one year's worth (so they say . . . their storage capacity at GCHQ Cheltenham can easily store SEVEN year's worth of this data) of ALL UK EMAILS, ALL UK LAND AND MOBILE PHONE CALLS and EVERYONE's ENTIRE WEB BROWSING HISTORY (They'll have one heck of a job with the web browsing and P2P if (AND WE MUST!) ALL USE NON-UK DNS SERVERS FROM NOW ON.
THEY SAY they won't be looking at content, don't believe a word of it. Once they have access, all hell break's loose on everyone's privacy. The Police will use it more routinely than phoning or writing to mother, and all opposition MPs will be at risk of being busted or blackmailed over anything.
WE NEED PEOPLE OUT ON THE STREETS,DEMONSTRATING PEACEFULLY BUT BLOCKING OFF ACCESS TO GCHQ at Cheltenham, No 10 AND Parliament if need be.
It's time for EVERYONE AS IN EVERYONE, ALL OF US IN OUR MILLIONS TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED and defeat the BIGGEST THREAT to Civil Liberty, Human Rights, Right to Privacy and Right to a Private Life in the free world, without ALL electronic communication being monitored all of the time.
ONLY IRAN AND CHINA have anything similar in place. They won't catch a single terrorist, paedophile/paedophile group or anyone out for serious crime or harm to others, as they'll ALL go underground on changed DNS servers, anonymous proxies, VPN AND they'll totally encrypt all their communications. BUT WE WILL ALL HAVE LOST OUR ENTIRE PRIVACY ENTIRELY FOR NOTHING.
STOP THIS NOW!
