MegaUpload’s founder Kim Dotcom and his attorneys keep fighting back the criminal charges brought against them by the American authorities.
Dotcom’s attorneys have recently asked the Virginia Federal Court to drop the charges against the company founder and his colleagues, because the US violated MegaUpload’s 5th amendment right to due process when the country’s authorities shut down the file-sharing service. In case the court agrees to drop the case, this decision would bring one of the largest criminal copyright cases filed by the United States to an end.
In their desperate attempts to shut down Dotcom’s multi-billion dollar business, the authorities of the United States didn’t just seize the website’s domain names and servers, but also took away Kim’s personal belongings. Then, trying to extradite Dotcom and his colleagues, the US law enforcement had asked help from foreign authorities.
Since the moment of their arrest, Kim Dotcom and his colleagues have battled American authorities in order to escape extradition, and their efforts seem to be successful, at least partly.
In addition, Dotcom’s attorney, Ira Rothken, continues insisting that the file-sharing service can’t be served outside the jurisdiction of the United States. That’s why, if the Virginia Federal Court decides to drop the case of MegaUpload, it would clearly represent a deadly blow to the American government, which would eventually be sued itself.
MegaUpload hosting service was closed this past January, and since then the case has been holding the attention of the industry observers all over the world, who are now waiting for the court decision to see what’s going to happen.

LoL the US already knows that they messed up but they are to argent to fess up. all they really care about is the amount of money they are making off this case and are just trying not to loose that. but that's just the thing...this is just a direct representation to abuse of power. treaties have already been violated, but the US has the other countries so scared to take a stand and stop them that they just let it happen. the US is just another dictatorship now. and that's y they are hated so much just like when Hitler was around.
dont be foolish clamo, even though the patriot act was enacted without the checks and balance system and in direct violation of the constitution, it was enacted during a pseudo war, the right technicalties at the right time everything was ready bam patriot act passed through the inner working flaws of technical loop holes allowing its legitimate legality, america blinked its eyes twice. the usa didnt mess up, the forces at be knew what they are doing, there gaming us baiting us, when there ready they will say, boom right here pointing at a line in the book that is the patriot act, due process is for citizens not terrorists, meanwhile, while the world watches, trapped in an illusion of freedom or saftey, they will continue to seize steal duplicate alter and run seized resources like fishing nets at first it seems everythings ok and ppl keep frolicing where they froliced all over before, and then the time is here, patriot act net closes, ppl gettin boned, this chance of constitutional violation getting them off the hook is the perfect creamiest succulent trap for them, america ended a while ago, welcome to the NAU north american union you fools, yeah soon that will be passed too, and soon our american capitalist debt willbe avoided by an epic currency change lol. happening as we speak. i wish this was a deadly blow against these anti freedom attacks, but its not, there playing our ignorance so that when they make there move the deed will be done and thoes that are left wont be nation to challenge. The only way the people get the power back is if the people once again weild the fear of the public, there was a time in america where a gun in every home was just important as a car etc.. it was a necessity and even though citizens didnt view it as suck, the government recognized that bam citizens are the largest standing force in the nation, they could be an army tomorrow, sh!t they could be minute men in a minute. it was harder to cross the people, it was harder to ignore the will of the ppl and accept a breifcase of money instead, there was a time when a politician could just as easily recieve a chest full of bullets as he could a breifcase of money and suggestions. but all over anti gun movements have effectivly chipped away our old view of guns and turned it into a dangerous taboo, effectivly dismanteling the fear that the public weilded silently, if we could weild that fear of the people again our voices could be hear more clearly, its hard to compete against money, but when the people weilded fear the government was afraid, as it should be, not the people but the government. and the government did its job where it was to be concerned with and left alone where it was not to be. not saying there wasnt corruption, just saying corruption had the dangling sword of an angry armed mob above its head to keep it in shape.

Damn GoreKnight, the first sentences sounded promising, but then I had to stop reading because someone (most probably also the US) seems to have banned capital letters and paragraphs from the internet.
The world is going down fast and I just love how we Dutch say "F*** YOU USA!" everytime they try to pass one of their acts through our legislation.

wow i really like how someone who committed a federal crime. (as we all do who downloads any content that is not paid for.) even a podcast that isnt bought is a federal crime. ok and not too mention this guy did it and made money from it. so yeah federal crime deserves a federal charge. now with that being said. even tho he is from and resided in another country the laws of the internet are the same as they are here in america. since the internet is american ran. YOU CANNOT INFRINGE ANYTHING WITH MONETARY GAIN! meaning you cannot sell someone elses product as your own. yes he will be facing federal charges and he will do time for his multi million dollar infringement. now with all the attacks on USA, look i dont like my country either since we are doing away with our basic principals. its not the people of the country buit the leaders of the country. everything has moved to an exchange of money thats how wars have been fought and won. due to a diplomatic solution. (MONEY). just because your in another country does not mean you cant be extradited for international crimes. the only place you are safe from international crimes is 11 miles off each coast in international waters.
