The highest court in the country confirmed Assange’s extradition: the UK Supreme Court has finally dismissed a bid by Julian Assange to reopen his appeal against extradition to Sweden. As such, Wikileaks’ founder now faces possible two charges in Sweden of being a really rotten date.
In the end of May, the British Supremes ordered Assange to go and face the Swedish court, but his attorneys had another crack at getting them to re-open the appeal. Nevertheless, 7 judges of the UK’s top court have unanimously dismissed their cunning plans and told Julian Assange to pack his bags and get ready.
Meanwhile, Assange’s lawyers claimed that the appeal decision a couple weeks ago was based on a legal point which hadn’t been argued in court.
Once again, WikiLeaks’ founder claims that the sex was consensual, and insists that the allegations against him have always been politically motivated. In addition, Assange fears that the Sweden will allow his extradition to the United States, which is longing to book him for spying.
Now the Supreme Court has given Julian Assange a fortnight grace period before starting extradition proceedings. In two weeks, the officials will have ten days to fly Assange to Sweden. This grace period will give WikiLeaks’ founder some time to take his case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg, but the industry experts don’t believe the European Court would want to block Assange’s extradition.
In case Julian Assange still goes to Sweden, he will be imprisoned and placed under very restrictive conditions until the hearing. If he is extradited to the United States, the punishment there might be too harsh for him. Anyway, we’ll know the end of the story soon.

The sooner the better...What a loathsome creature he is.....He runs into the Ecuadorian Embassy begging for asylum and leaving his friends to pay the bail money they put up for him.......He should grow up and face his responsibilities like a man.

I'm fro Australia and no one cares about this guy! He needs to face the charges instead of hiding! If the us wanted him it would be just as hard/easy to extradite from the UK.
I think he is being treated unfair big time because of his site he founded. It is all political and i can see were he is coming from. he did nothing wrong and is scared what will happen to him. If he is labeled a rapper he is screwed for life and if the US gets him he will wish he was dead. Im sure they will torture him and do very bad things that we will never find out. i fill for the man and see why he ran. sure it was others money and thats wrong but this is a human life. Money is not more important than life. he did nothing wrong but protect our freedoms and lets us know the truth about what was really happening. Im very appreciative to have someone risk there life to let me know. Thanks and good luck in Sweden and i pray the US don't get there hands on you or you may be in big trouble.
Everytime someone gets close to the truth they are accused of rape, anyone ever heard of crywolf?
Oldskoolplaya is right!
Just last month I had finally found out who really shot JFK then out of nowhere I was charged with fondling some woman's breasts! Then last week I was about to expose what happened to DB Cooper when it was cut short because I was being charged with groping a meter maid.

wasn't lost on me, i appreciated the comments! Thanks OSP!
Guantanamo Bay detention camp may well see a new inmate and Assange may learn new water-sports 1st hand,I doubt it very much it has been made too public to go that route they know that he has just changed the site and it continues with or without his presence to inform the less enlightened to how dirty tricks are played by the USA and other countries despite their censorship of the media.
To try and discredit Assange is gameplay no:1,that seems like a waste of time as videos do not lie especially when taken from American helicopters at close range.Assange is not the criminal, the crime was the genocide in Iraq perpetrated by the USA,wiki leaks just showed the world what they did to help the Iraqis by shooting them dead and mutilating and killing others for no good reason.
As for the charges in the USA,bogus or not I think they want him out of the way and no limelight but because of public interest it may well be somewhere he can be seen and he has a friendly 20 stone cell-mate called Bubba aka Wendy
why do the US gov think they are they only ones who can hand out just punishment. they want the UK to extradite one of the kids from lolzsec or what ever they are called .... and i quote "we do not think that UK punishment will be enough" so they want ppl extradited id love to see the US extradite one of there own ....... F***king morons
