After major Internet service providers of the United Kingdom blocked The Pirate Bay under the court order, music labels of the BPI are going to target some other major torrent websites – for instance, H33T, Demonoid, TorrentReactor, and even us.
After the UK regulator (Ofcom) published the Initial Obligations Code for the Digital Economy Act (DEA), the country’s government promised to remove two arguable sections from the bill. According to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, sections 17 and 18 will be removed from the DEA. Both of these provisions emphasized that online services providing access to copyrighted content were to be blocked by Internet service providers.
Apparently, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport realized that these two sections aren’t needed because infringing services can be blocked under the existing law. The best example is well known by everyone who has ever heard of Newzbin2, a Usenet indexing site, and how it was blocked by the British broadband providers.
Music licensing group PPL has sent a letter to its members, saying that not only The Pirate Bay is under their scope, but also other similar BitTorrent services exist that provide facilities through which the web users are able to illegally download copyrighted content and illegally make it available to other online users. The list of such services includes TorrentReactor, Demonoid, Fenopy, Kickass Torrents, H33T, and our Extratorrent as well, of course.
In addition, the PPL recommended that online services that provide legitimate content should contact the BPI’s legal team as soon as possible.

LoL all of the listed sites are open bit torrent. and yes I am well aware that demonoid is also got a privet site. honestly I think that ALL bit-torent sites should just go privet. ya the majority of the users will get band as most of the noob's that are joining don't under stand that you can't leach and run as a beginner but it will keep the entertainment industry from messing with you. not to mention that the ppl running ET don't realize that they have users on here that work for the entertainment industry. but seriously....I think that ALL file sharing should just go back underground like it used to be.
If the site names or Domain of these website were to change, would they be able to avoid the shut down like the pirate bay has done several times now?
When one door closes another opens, wikileaks for example.

I for one am totally sick of this uk government..Im scottish and as a Scotsman I voted for SNP (scottish national party)as most of the Scottish people did..that or Labour...but no matter who we vote for we always end up with some government we didnt ask or vote for and is hated in this country...Tories case in point are the most hated party in Scotland..these are the same people who decimated Scotland in the 80s and the country has never fully recovered are now co ruling the country hammering the Scots once again..We had the Poll Tax forced upon us 2 years before the English..after the English got it there was mass riots in the streets and it was eventually scrapped in favour of an equally unfair Tax the Community Tax. The Scottish Steel and Car industry and Coal Industry was destroyed by the Tories. My point is..this government are not for the people, only out for themselves.

this government in england aint got a clue what they are doing its one joke after another..the sooner they are removed from power the better...they are only out for them selves, like every other polition, they get brought up on public school education then off to some posh university and then into politics they have never once seen how real people live, they sit there waffling on in the house of parliment and im sure 5 year olds would do a better job in there.....its about time everyone just said right enough is enough we shall now physically remove you from power as you work for us not the country you work for the tax payer...now pick up your belongings and dont collect 200 when u leave by the exit..

Been trying this for years already. There are many ways for the UK to by pass this crap. Just so many P2P sites for them to try to block, at lease here in the USA.
like if they shut down these sites - I'd pay for music (NEVER GONNA HAPPEN - I'LL DIE FIRST. Music is garbage now) or movies. TV obviously cuz I still do - but the others, well that'd be it for me. It's the industry's own fault for over saturating...and being greedy.
If these sites are blocked, have an embargo on the music and movie industry. I'll not buy any movies and certainly no more music... F*ck-em lets see how they make money with no one to buy their crap. I'll even stop buying TV licence and take down my ariel, then I'll take up knitting or some other danger sport.
Knitting is the way forward!
I have a good Cam of some red wool I can upload if you want;
it's a bit fuzzy though and dark in places. :0
UK politicians don't run the country anymore in any case - it's all the big multinationals; £250,000 for dinner with the PM so you can 'guide' him on policy?!!! And it ain't just the Tories - Blair was selling seats in the House Of Lords while Cameron was in short trousers. There's less thieves and fraudsters in Wormwood Scrubs than there is in Parliament. Never voted and never will - and don't come around here saying I can't complain then; I blooming well CAN and I blooming well WILL. I choose to not vote because I don't trust a single one of them. Find me an honest politician and I'll put a 'x' in the box.
Off now to finish knitting my scarf.
so now lets all cry rebellion,at another government policy!! Have you all only just woken up and realized the government is not interested in what you want?? they just want to control you and have you all under their thumb!!
They are now run by the corporations the fat cats and elite they can get what they want but the serfs can sleep in the cold and eat shite! WOW lets not buy your TV license?? so are you willing to throw away all your computers/TV's and mobile devices?? cant have them without the license?? Stop buying movie and music media?? so anyone with Sky(nice little corporate government sponsor) happy to ditch it?? what they cant see is that it is actually the P2P world that spends the most on the entertainment, computing equipment/peripherals/media systems than those who dont d/load,so what is saved from one industry is then take any in double from other industries.
PS, hope your all paying your taxes, you all need to keep the queen in stock of caviar!!
