MegaUpload’s Founder Ready to Go to the US for Trial

Kim Dotcom is sure that the US criminal case against him will collapse and even suggested to go to the States without extradition.

Such offer would normally mean that Kim Dotcom should already be packing, but the MegaUpload’s founder has made it conditional on the federal authorities unfreeze his millions of dollars to let him pay for lawyers and living expenses. This is similar to saying “when hell freezes over”.

Of course, the United States allowing that is not likely. The American government has probably spent all cyberlocker’s money on a holiday somewhere hot, while giving Dotcom anything for his defense would mean that Kim gets a fair trial. The Department of Justice doesn’t want Dotcom to get a fair trial because this would mean one where Kim walks.

In the meantime, Dotcom made the offer on Twitter, which is, though public, not exactly legally binding. The MegaUpload’s owner told in the interview that DoJ understood it didn’t have a case. Actually, if the New Zealand forces the United States to show what proof it has then there will be no extradition. Kim says it was exactly why the United States was fighting tooth and nail to stop him getting discovery. He points out that if the US had a case, it wouldn’t need to hide what they have.

Now it looks like the case will drag on anyway, with Dotcom’s lawyers confirming the extradition case had been rescheduled again. Kim is confident that it was Department of Justice dirty delay tactics. The United States literally destroyed his business, took all his money and is still hoping that time will finish Dotcom off.

Kim Dotcom blames the New Zealand government for bowing down to the United States and refusing a New Zealand resident due process and a fair defense.

Kippies avatarThe whole thing stinks- NZ police taking basically hearsay as an excuse to bust, the subsequent annexing of users data, the heavy handed approach of the usa- at what point do we say "enough is enough"

The case has followed neither judicial process or fair interpretation of the spirit of legislation, in any sane court Kim would walk

couple this to the icelandic MP's warning of unfair process and we see where the "freedom of the people" lies in western democracies- and we accuse China of human rights abuses???

Embolism avatarThe wikileaks witch hunts are as you say just another example of the Fascist state of America today, not happy at being exposed for their Crimes they seek to persecute and prosecute the reporters who showed them for the Genocidal psychopaths they really are rather than admitting their own mistakes and shortcomings,we know who the real criminals are and it is not the Icelandic minister and Assange who they would smear in a Kangaroo court of law and incarcerate.
Any rational country would impeach its leadership and cease hostilities after losing over a trillion dollars acting as terrorists in a foreign country and committing genocide on innocent civilians ,but no they are perpetuating it in Afghanistan and committing more crimes whilst lying through their teeth to the masses, they really have no regard for any other human beings lives or families and when caught with their pants down have like little children got to get their own back it is so pathetic and sickening.
The current strategy is to stay in Afghanistan till the next American elections in 2014/15 at which time another trillion will be added to the USA`s debts causing an ever deepening recession to the American people.

Noch avatarunfortunately we as American citizens we have been left with no other recourse but to physically remove our government from power by force .Timothy McVeigh took the first shot and was executed for his action because children were killed , the government made sure that they were the only victims the public worried about with the media coverage , same with Waco ,Texas and the Mt. Home ,Idaho incident .How many children has our government killed in the name of democracy ,yet for them they call it collateral damage ,acceptable losses and what not.Our constitution keeps the government at bay but for how long is uncertain, they have already laid plans for the complete destruction of freedom and are hoping to use the excuse of armed rebellion to destroy whats left for absolute power. It would not take much for the US government to impose martial law and strip every person of their freedom .

and for Embolism our election is this year and it's not looking any better, on one hand is a man that has both proven his contempt for the constitution and his love for power and on the other is a man that would destroy everything for religious zealotry and greed.

skreamer avatarWell here in the UK there is a phrase "The Law Is An Ass" roughly meaning it can be senseless. I kinda hope it is an ass in this case and the whole case against Kim falls on its face due to the initial inappropriate actions by the DOJ.

Also then he would be due a counter claim for his lost business which could really be a nice kick in the ***** for the DOJ and their claims of his profiteering (x USDs)could be used directly back against them as his level of compensation.
