After all the shootings in the United States, it looks like that the online retailer Amazon decided to interpret the American constitution as saying that bearing arms is compulsory.
Recently, a Washington man was a bit surprised to receive a package from Amazon which appeared to be a bit lighter than he expected.
It turned out that Seth Horvitz was waiting for a TV to come, but when he finally opened the box, he found a military-grade assault rifle inside. Although the rifle was an interesting thing, it didn’t really pick up good reception, so Seth Horvitz was a bit miffed. The local media reported that when the man realized he somehow managed to buy an assault rifle, it was “pure shock and disbelief”.
Actually, the man had bought a Westinghouse 39-inch LCD television from the ecommerce retailer, which cost him about $320. However, what he got in reality was a Sig Sauer 716 patrol rifle which was, by the way, illegal in Washington.
Inside the box there was also an invoice for $1,590, which revealed that the rifle was actually addressed to Independence Gun Shop, some Pennsylvania-based business, from the Internet retailer Gunbuyer.com.
According to Amazon, all Seth Horvitz had to do was send a dispute claim for receiving the wrong product. But when the man contacted the 3rd-party Amazon seller, they denied any knowledge of the illegally sent gun. Horvitz believes that it was UPS, which delivered the package, who likely caused the mixup.
Seth Horvitz expects that somebody stuffed up on the labelling of the tracking information. Today he has neither a television nor an assault rifle. Hopefully, the man didn’t need the latter, as he wasn’t mentally ill or a member of a neo-nazi militia.

Wow..that must have been a rude shock and unnecessary harrasment for that man..Hope he gets his TV asap..hehee..
OMFG the way the USA is heading he is a total moronic tard for not keeping the gun, being silent about it and stockpiling some ammo, afterall when chit hits the fan that assault rifle might keep him and his family alive!
But yeah he an American so watching TV is a more pressing issue and infinately more important to him... Considering the gun was 5 times more valuable than his tv, he could have even just sold the thing and bought a bigger tv to sit his fat ass infront off to become even stupider watching!
given it is clearly obvious the box the rifle came is clearly NOT A TV..
Even if he kept it there is still a paper trail where the rifle went straight to him.. Now if UPS had as they do allot left it on the door step????
Well, I'm off to buy some "TV's" on amazon.
@irishStorm lol ))))

I heard, once upon a time, that a man from Tennessee (he refused to reveal his name, out of embarassment) got a set of sharp knives sent straight to his house!!! He had ordered a coffee maker!

In florida or illinois I would have kept the gun and kept my mouth shut as well. Problem is that where he was the gun was illegal although I don't know if it is the gun itself or just the magazine that is actually illegal. If it is the magazine he just could have gone and bought a 10round mag.
One other thing though is that I had fedex freight screw up a shipment once and the screw up went over 1 month undiscovered. Without my knowledge the company I worked for sent my location security upgrades (very very large security upgrades). I was not aware of this until I failed a security audit. When I got upset and started making calls about this audit that would now cause a bonus check to no longer be paid out I was told that I was delivered the equipment over a month ago and should have arranged for its installation per instruction in the packages.
Turns out fedex freight delivered it to a new construction location with the same name but owned by a different company that was in the same mall. Since the place was new construction they had been receiving tons of packages and where just signing for anything that came threw the doors. Turns out the packages where never even opened since several separate companies where responsible for the construction everyone just though it was someone else crap.
I have hated fedex freight ever since then and since I have had this issue over 10x over the course of 7 years with fedex ground delivering multiple thousand dollar containers too other locations on accident because they had the same name on top and didn't look at the name below and because these locations are grouped so close together and often have such similar addresses. I have received the other companies boxes from time to time and have always returned them since we are owned by corporate and I would loose my job if I did not. However the other companies either because being shady or because they just don't keep good inventory records have never returned a box without us figuring out the mistake.
So these shipping mistakes happen often. It just became a big deal since it was a gun and because it broke a local law!
