Yahoo! would prefer PC users who take benefit of its services for a very enjoyable experience of user and enjoy everything what Yahoo! offers. For example let’s see Yahoo! Mail. It proposes 25MB attachments, sometimes even up to 100MB, chat in mail, storage space without limits and a lot of other things. These improvements of Yahoo! Mail have been worked out during the twelve years since that time when Yahoo! Mail had been presented for use all over the world.
But if you use an out of date browser, such as IE6 for example, you do not get many of out of Yahoo! Mail. The company advises you upgrade to a latest browser to get all out of Yahoo!’s email client. If you desire to continue using Microsoft’s browser, so there’s IE8. There’s Google’s Chrome 4.0, Safari 3.0 and Mozilla’s Firefox 3.6 if you wish to switch to somewhat else.
Andrew Molyneux, the Program Manager with Yahoo! Mail, explained that it had passed approximately ten years since that time when Internet Explorer 6 was created. Nowadays twenty six percents of Internet users still use this browser. It will be persuaded you to download the latest version in a little while if you continue to use an older one. There are even the most modern versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer which give you an optimized, one-click admittance to Yahoo! Mail”.
It’s necessary to notice that not only Yahoo! doesn’t want the customers to use IE6. Google, mountain View-based search huge engine, does not like IE6 as well. Google not long ago declared that it will interrupt support of the out of date browsers. So, they will begin dropping support of IE6 for its Google Sites and Google Docs services as of the 1 of March.
A big question is why Microsoft, the company behind IE6, does support the browser? IE6 is connected with Windows XP as the browser of operating system. Microsoft goes on to supporting Windows XP, and as IE6 was bundled together with the operating system, now it must support the browser for the XP’s lifecycle.
