TalkTalk was labeled the most complained ISP in the country, according to recent Ofcom survey. The information, collected by Ofcom, includes phone, broadband and pay TV complaints on a quarterly basis. As for the fixed broadband services, the biggest number of complains were those for TalkTalk: 0.042% of all its services about line faults or other service troubles.
Despite the fact that the number of TalkTalk complaints reduced from the previous quarter (0.056%), the figure still doubles the national average. The second most complained about ISP is BT Retail (0.031%). As for the best broadband provider, it turned out to be Sky Broadband, which only has 0.01% complaining subscribers.
TalkTalk was not only the worst ISP, it also doubled the average number of complaints for its phone services (0.053%), while BT was the second worst with its 0.019%. It wasn’t the first time that the Internet service provider was shown up by Ofcom: for instance, 2011 results were even worse, and TalkTalk also faced a hefty fine for misleading its subscribers. Of course, the company promised to work hard and make sure its service improves, first of all paying attention to the number of complaints. This quarter, for example, the ISP received its lowest ever number of complaints: 35% less than during the same period last year. However, the company understands there’s still a lot of work and keeps to push through improvements.
TalkTalk explained that technical faults are usually fixed faster, with offering more support when subscribers move house. In addition, the company’s online support system, which is currently responsible for 70% of customer contacts, is being constantly improved as well. TalkTalk promised to continue offering great value to its 5,000,000 customers.

How bad were TalkTalk? A family member using their 'service' simply could not get any internet connection at the weekend. Nothing!
I was on TalkTalk after they bought out the ISP I was with for a few years and the service dropped massively.
My service was contracted as unlimited for whatever the price was, but they tried to quadruple the price and cap my internet at 2gb a month.
Now on Orange as they don't have a fair use policy, and have to complain about the connection dropping almost weekly.
LOL, I must have been stealing all your connections then! talk talk great, no speed issues ever,no download limits ever, no caps, no restrictions, no throttling, and no hassles from customer services apart from they keep offering me better deals, now on internet £5 a month,it could only get better if they did all my downloading for me!
Ha I'm the same Big_A apart from the odd niggle but never had a major problem been with TalkTalk for about four years and now I've found out their throwing me in a free TV package subject to 50 quid installation charge like!

Sky me up i get download speeds of about 6 meg per second and upload at 2 meg per second when downloading but on a speedtest my actual speeds are 65 dl and 20 ul 360 channel tv and phone where i dont pay for landline calls at all and my avarage bill with mobile calls as well is about 45 quid a month for everything.Been with bt and it was crap and virgin are just arseholes, never tried talk talk but i wont be either.
I've been with Talk Talk now for 6 months and had no major issues - ok during the day the connection is slow and using something like facebook is a nightmare waiting for pages to load/refresh and downloads are very very slow but as soon as midnight comes and until 9am everything is fine - i work until 10pm and use the internet/download mostly at night so no bother to me, last month i download almost 260 GB worth of films and games and no problems - I found the bills with Sky and Virgin seemed to go up and up and find talk talk very reasonable price wise and this week i'm getting the youview tv box installed and fingers crossed it'll be almost as good as a sky+ box - and again the price is quite good.

|I swear I will never go to talk talk again! I was supposed to have 8mb connection, it was never stable! if the phone rang I would lose my connection to the internet! after 9 months of complaining I eventually got someone to watch my connection for 24 hours and they agreed it was bad! Ive already told you that, fix it! was my reply, and they did, they gave me a stable connection 24/7............................at 512kb! they said it was all the line could handle, so contract up I went to BT who said yes they can give me a minimum of 4mb, they kept there word, sometimes it went up from 4 but was pretty much 4 all the time, so talk talk, WHATS YOUR EXCUSE?||
