The investigations launched by the countries centre around a decision made by the search giant at the start of 2012 to share data for services like YouTube and Gmail. In the beginning, the investigation was initiated by national agencies in all 27 European countries that asked France to start an investigation.

Lol, these people do realise that Google makes tens of BILLIONS in PROFIT per year and they are currently worth a total of 260billion dollars! Why would they care about fines amounting in the millions...
IMO they should be fined a percentage of what their company is worth.

Google already had to pay Apple for their recurring/forced Cookies, and if some of you has read the comment I left last week or so, has understood that I knew this was coming for them. Not bad for a company that has as a motto "Don't be evil". If they keep going a million here and a million there. Plus a Big Stamp of Bad Reputation...|
