David Cameron has praised the bio-flick on Julian Assange, an individual he wants locked up, after viewing just part of it. Prime Minister claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch was brilliant as the WikiLeaks founder in the movie.
The surprising fact was that David Cameron claimed he admires Assange’s early work. Prime Minister was a big fan when WikiLeaks was exposing corruption in Africa and only went off when the service started exposing western secrets. Cameron also liked the fact that the whistleblowing service encouraged open government, but didn’t much when it revealed secrets about his.
Cameron only saw the first part of the movie but said that Benedict Cumberbatch, who played Assange, did it brilliantly. However, Prime Minister felt uneasy that Assange in the movie appeared to be more concerned about the people who leaked information, rather those whose security may have been jeopardized by the leaks. He believes that you also need to think about people whose lives are at risk because they have been leaked, which he didn’t see in the film. “But it makes you think”, - he said.
Cameron campaigned strongly in favor of open government while in opposition – around the time the whistleblowing service first started making an impact. Apparently, Prime Minister had difficulty seeing a difference between corruption in Africa or within the US or Britain’s military. He believes that people feel sympathy for WikiLeaks because of the things it uncovered in Africa and elsewhere, and they think it is great that the truth has been revealed.
Cameron claims that transparency about information over where money is spent and how it is spent helps keep governments and politicians honest, which makes WikiLeaks a good thing. At the same time, Prime Minister opposed the “huge dumps of information” by the service, saying that every single document they had was made public without considering the consequences and lives could have been put at risk as a result. Finally, Cameron claimed that government secrecy is necessary for national security. Of course.
Julian Assange criticized The Fifth Estate, and he wasn’t involved in filming. The group’s founder said an early version of the script he had seen was “fanning the flames for war on Iran”. He also pointed out that the piece was a “propaganda attack on WikiLeaks”.

Seriously! who can watch only part of this movie? Its enthralling from start to finish.
I'm not so fussed that Mr Cameron likes or dislikes the film, but there's allot he could have learned, had he viewed it in it's entirety.
I disagree that Assange cared more for the leakers than the leaked, he disputes it himself and has spoken on multiple occasions that the covering up of these truths/leaks is more damaging to society as a whole, than the knowledge of their existence.
Take the now infamous video of the Apache attack on the Reuters news crew, Do we really want that to happen again and again.
I'm an English teacher and if its one thing i must do to advance my students in their courses, its to tell them where they have gone wrong and to correct them. If i say nothing they will never learn anything or change for the better.
No thanks Cameron

He Praises this while trying to force News Papers not to publish leaks
Cameron claims that transparency about information over where money is spent and how it is spent helps keep governments and politicians honest, politicians kept straight don`t make me laugh how about tony Blair making 25 million from his office and relations with G.W.Bush and having sheri collecting 200,000 for a 20 min appearance when on a state visit with him in USA,etc, either Cameron is crooked as well or just plain too stupid to stop the USA and NSA from taking control in England and dictating our decisions since Cameron was hot to jump into Syria before the Lib Dems asked for proof.
@1 Collateral Murder done by that Apache was a redneck turkey shoot not to mention one of the armored cars driving over a wounded man and the driver laughing about it as well as the wounded infant being refused medivac by chopper and having to waste time getting her to hospital with a .50 caliber wound in her
Of course he admits leaks exposed about Africa but not the UK
He is hoping it will make it easier to stop sending money to Africa so that he and his chums can have more pay rises and claim even more bogus expenses
David Cameron and Slimey Blair are both traitors to the UK population and should be treated and jailed as such as they have repeatedly sold off our assets to foreign concerns for fractions of their values, chosen to spend money abroad rather than with UK companies and have systematically dismantled every aspect of our economy and infrastructure to the point where in terms of peoples rights we have moved back between 50 to 100 years in some areas mainly employment law and rights to appeal
Which obviously opens the door for even more worker abuses, workfare type slavery and privatised health care in the near future
None of which favours anyone but foreign interests and the very rich whilst the actual majority of the population is the victim of the decisions and policy changes even though many cant see the big picture yet
That by any reasonable definition IS treasonous or traitorous behaviour as the best interest of the countries population SHOULD be the primary concern of any government which is a concept that seems to have vanished in the last 50 years as donations have increased and entire governments of both sides have been bought and paid from from the same pockets before a single vote has been cast
thanks for the UP....do you ever have anything positive to say or do you just spew negativity all the time Embolism? If its so bad everywhere all the time maybe you should go live under a rock somewhere
|Cameron is an absolute hypocritical tool of the highest order. It's apparently "the right thing to do" to force poor people into smaller housing "to save taxpayers' money" while he shamelessly used taxpayers' money to pay a huge chunk of his mortgage. The man is scum.||
