Some hacker took the advantage of Apple’s delays in fixing its iCloud security flaw. The iPhone-maker has been pushing its security tools enabling to switch off lost or stolen iPhones – Activation Lock was a fail-safe introduced in the latest iOS 7 to keep stolen Apple devices from being usable. The feature was supposed to keep the contents of locked devices unreadable and unable to be erased without knowing the user’s Apple ID and password.
However, vulnerability in Apple’s iCloud meant that intruders could get around Activation Lock with a free tool. Apparently, any security is just token and content can in fact be accessed. In other words, if you have lost your iOS devices, a hacker who is familiar with the problem is able to break into them despite the feature that is designed to protect them.
A hacker nicknamed AquaXetine took to Twitter a few days ago to announce that Apple was “soooooooo toooo late” to address the vulnerability. The hacker who did warn Apple of the security problem allegedly a few months ago cooperated with MerrukTechnolog to create a so-called “first iCloud Activation Bypass”. This is a kind of a “man-in-the-middle attack” that intercepts traffic passing between a device and Apple’s servers. The fix would require a new update issued by Apple to patch it, but that really depended on Apple being on the ball.
Apparently, for Apple to release a patch, it first has to experience an extensional crisis whenever it realizes that its software is not perfect. Only now the company has gotten around to ask the hacker to get in touch. AquaXetine has already released his bypass tool, called DoulCi, and the software remains available for anyone to unlock stolen iPhones. The company hasn’t provided any comments to AquaXetine’s statements thus far.

as long as dumb shmucks keep buying crapple? the longer your letting them empty your wallet. And those pricks will just keep swelling and smoking cuban cigars and shagging your missus whilst you ogle your gorgeous new iphone or ipad...... got you all by the bollocks.......
This is not new knowledge to me. I heard about this backdoor, even if set on airplane mode. It was put into place for a future military and police program for censorship of footage related near or around an incident. A new attempt of digital classification by disallowing iPhone users their functionality to record or tape anything. did not make public light so to say. Future police indecent footage will no longer be published to youtube or anywhere once this program is deployed, so was their idea. This same technology they should would be used by law enforcement to effectively shut down all of your phones uploading abilities, including outgoing calls and texts/pictures and all apps to ensure that pictures/footage of certain incidents phone calls would be unsavable, uploadable, transferred while in radius of this blocking device they have. Think of all law enforcement carrying a small device with a radius comprised of various choices starting at 50 feet. Well this once government knowledge only given to certain law enforcement, like most things will be copied, and soon enough it will end up in anyone's hands..
Aint nothing wrong with smoking Cuban Cigars its nothing to do with Apple I enjoy a Montecristo on a daily basis, but saying that since Jobs shuffled off this mortal coil things have seemingly gone from bad to worse for Cr-apple and I would`nt use one for anything other than as a door stop, definitely would not buy one at such inflated and stupid prices for proprietary software, proprietary music and proprietary messaging especially as they appear to resent those that leave the apple family and then stop other apple users from being able to message them on Iphones, stupid gay Cr-apple products.
Any phone you do not control and have to hack/jailbreak to put apps or music on voiding your warranty is not worth the money when you can get a dual core android phone with free apps, games and upto 32 GB storage for around 50 GBP,some people have more money than common sense.
