Do you think that things are cheaper in the third world? The Chinese don’t. Not anymore.

The local governments of the United States are trying to attract the Chinese companies to their states in the hope they will set up shop. According to the recent Yahoo news, the free market failed to provide states like Alabama with jobs, and in result the region suffered from a high unemployment rate. The problem was solved after the state began looking for investors from the Communist Henan Province in China.

Screen_Hunter_02_Jun.jpg

The searches were successful – Henan’s Golden Dragon Precise Copper Tube Group has already opened a plant in Alabama in May 2014, and it is not the only one of its kind: the trend of the Chinese outsourcing to the US is being noticed across the country. Indeed, the Chinese companies have already invested a record $14 billion in the US in 2013. What is more important, they collectively employ over 70,000 Americans.

The market confirms that the rules have changed: Chinese workers are getting more and more expensive, while the energy prices in the United States are falling. So, now mayors and economic development officials can be seen lining up to welcome Chinese investors, though a few years ago they would have called them “Commie infiltrators”.

The researchers point out that it is in the more conservative Southern states, where obsession with blocking health care defined a higher number of people on welfare being at the forefront of attracting the Chinese. Today any market expert would admit that the United States has some advantages of cheaper Chinese manufacturing facilities: aside from access to cheap Mexican labor, companies that set up in the States will save a fortune on transport costs.

No avatarAll this confirms is that in America wages suck!! Social benefits are extinct. The u.s has gone from an economic super power to third world cheap labor.

screen_name100 avatarIt's obvious that they would do that since they buy resources from other countries. Copper and iron mines in foreign countries means also opening plants in those other countries. It would be a financial lose to ship everything around the world to China and then ship it back out to those countries again.
If the materials are here and the buyers are here... just make it here. Why would anyone want to spend millions in trains, freighters, trucks and tariffs each year when you can just keep it in one place.

Rockman avatarYes yes not a shock at all always knew that those that run to red china would one day find those wages to high; their to cheap the companies and than American workers would be a lot cheaper as the china slave labor force wised up demanding higher pay checks.

The American sweat shop companies find it better to run away and rebuild in America then pay a living wage in red china.

But now that leaves one huge problem for American workers as jobs return how do they American workers keep their wage demands way way under the red china workers demands so that the sweat shop American companys don t run off to south korea where the wages might be cheaper ?

This will be fun to watch; hoping the workers here in America can out think the returning American companies . .

CaptCosmo avatar50 years ago the USA produced/manufactured 70% of all the goods sold globally. Today the total is under 30% and shrinking daily. Our corrupt elected and appointed officials continue to sell off chunks of industry and make regulations that are financially choking the USA citizen while stuffing their pockets with bribes and payoffs. The motto used to be "In God We Trust" It seems to have re-written as "In Greed We Trust" The way things are going the USA may wind up an actual "Third World or Fourth World" country if its citizens don't regain control. The way things were set up, USA Citizens were to be in control of their Government. With their re-written and re-interpreted Constitution no longer protecting them, the USA Citizen has learned to FEAR their Government.

No avatarWe used to have tariffs(import taxes) that made sure that imported goods from the third world could not compete with U.S. made goods. With NAFTA etc. those were done away with despite the fact that they were created after mercantilists(/'globalists') nearly destroyed the U.S. as they are doing now.

When Clinton proceeded to carry on Bush Sr.'s "free trade" policies it should have become clear to everyone that both sides worked for the same interests bent on destroying the high living and working standards in the U.S. making it a thrid world nation.

We lost jobs to other countries(and illegals- and yes Americans would do those jobs) where people are forced by economic conditions to do almost anything for almost nothing. This along with inflation(from the FED printing trillions in cash to pay for drones/bombs) forces us to compete with that where people now do two jobs and live on half as much as a guy that had one job in 1997.

The solution of course is for people to demand proper tariffs be re-instated, stop buying third world goods, and toughen up and live on practically nothing(by choice) while refusing to even mop floors for anything less than $15/hr.

If you're a professional and made $15/hr in 1997, and think you've moved up now that you get $20/hr I have news for you...

Gasoline and the cost of living is three times what it was then, so unless you're getting $45/hr you are getting less(and probably working more) for these priceless hours of your life which you'll never get back.

cggc avatarWould be best suit them think that being in united states is convenience even if you need pay in 50 of every state roads for transport passing ton's and maybe the train it who helps. What a robot can do much it can for work and owners making donations for making jobs for people. China had whole factory robots where are ready for a call to start any product from any American idea even if it very small. Then it would be a variety of tastes for Americans and maybe being changed to US to experiment as compared to the rest of the world.

Embolism avatarIt does strike the funny bone when America is slagging off China in one breath for supposed spying and in the other asking it to set up shop in its own backyard to raise its fortunes and keep it from liquidation at the hands of Chinese banks to whom they have sourced all their loans and to whom America owes Billions.
Yin and Yang.

bubfred72 avatarYes #13, your just about right on! The 20 years of the US politicians have seen it fit that the USA has succumbed to Anti-American socialist plans! When the US looks for WalMart to be one of the biggest employers, 99% of their crap is made in china. So all the people who mad it possible will be patting their own backs working in the (American) Chinese sweat shops.

OsanoSan avatarIt was the unrealistic labor benefits that made the US investors ran in to China's cheap labor. The problem is, they did not invest in their allied countries. Now China is beginning to play world police with their own standards of right and wrong which is worst than US. Look how they treat their own workers and feeding their babies with melamine content.

No avatarWell in the u.s wages are low compared to other 1st world countries. People are quick to blame immigrants when that's exactly what big corporation's want. Competition for work within the country to drive wages down, And increase prices to widen the profit margin. Its the richpeople behind corporation that control the economy. Not the immigrants.
