According to TorrentFreak, the largest BitTorrent tracker in the world has recently changed its home page logo. Now it features a banner asking file-sharers to support Gottfrid Svartholm and Peter Sunde who both remain in prison. The website provided the addresses of two of TPB founders and asked visitors to send them letters, books, and even vegan candy.
It is known that at weekends the website replaces its logo with some band, game developer or moviemaker to support indie content creators in frames of the Promo Bay initiative.
This time the BitTorrent tracker decided to feature something different. Now the main page of The Pirate Bay shows a banner asking site visitors to send their support to TPB original founders. Gottfrid Svartholm and Peter Sunde currently stay in prison and could use an uplifting note or two, according to the message on the site.
Gottfrid Svartholm has already served his sentence related to The Pirate Bay charges, but he stands accused in Denmark of hacking the IT company named CSC. Svartholm faces up to 5 more years in prison, with his trial being scheduled to start in a couple months.
In the meantime, Peter Sunde is serving the sentence he got for his involvement with “notorious” BitTorrent tracker. He’s currently being held in a high security prison in Västervik, Sweden. Sunde recently requested a transfer to a lower safety class unit.
When Gottfrid Svartholm served his TPB sentence in Sweden, he used to receive many letters and cards. Gottfrid later sent a video out to thank everyone for the support, saying that it has meant a lot for a prisoner. He also apologized that didn’t have time or possibility to answer all of them, but emphasized that each and every one of them helped him a lot.

After all, torrents/money crime is much worse than most of the murderers, rapists and kiddy fiddlers that get off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. What a joke...
|VEGAN CANDY? I hope I can find it here in our country.....|
