Lucky fans of Greek mythos and action! You’ve finally got a good source of entertainment with some cheesy humor and Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Sam Worthington involved. Congratulations.
You’ll have a pleasant time at the cinema watching “Clash of the Titans” if you like this genre. However, don’t go to see it in 3-D (it was just a silly move from the creators) – the 2-D is epic enough; and if you are still willing to invest in the theater, do it toward the popcorn department, please.
Let’s see what’s happening in the movie. Our hero, Perseus (played by Sam Worthington), was adopted by the human – a fisherman, who has found him in a waterlogged casket. The fisherman creates a strong impression that he doesn’t like the present ruling structure, meaning the gods disrespectful ruling over men. Power of Zeus, who created man, is fueled by humans’ prayers, while that of underworld’s ruler, Zeus’s brother Hades, is powered by their fear. The movie is actually about the idea that it’s impossible to run a universe. A disaster befalls the whole Perseus’s adoptive family, and it was made directly by the gods. So this lies out a reason for vengeance, making Perseus to take a dive into the world of awesome powers and mythical creatures.
The movie is not entirely perfect, though, because the first 20 minutes are too stretched with lots of expository speeches about the whole humans vs gods issue. We can actually understand clearly that the sides are angry with each other in 5 minutes, so the rest 15 are quite boring in waiting for action. Fortunately, after those opening minutes the things pick up, and we become entertained. Another complaint is above mentioned "3-D" presented. That was clearly a post-production and the effects really seem just barely there.
“Clash of the Titans” is a self-aware movie, and that works right. It realizes it's a bit silly, and makes it as such every so often. All actors did great, including Gemma Arterton, performing Perseus' quasi-girlfriend. The movie can be recommended as a treat for those who are nostalgic for the era of Never ending Story and Willow. It develops rapidly as the forthright hero mythology story of the foretime, and the main actor sells some tricky role. ”Clash of the Titans” can’t be called a spectacular film, but it’s definitely a worthy entertainment for fantasy action movie fans.

clash of titans they really did nice job perfect 3d picture after avatar pls don't comment like this
the 3D was really bad. it wasnt filmed as a 3D movie, but with all the success of avatar they tried to add it later. and it showed. the movie itself was uneven, and you got one thing right. cheesy. not in a good way either. now the classic was cheesy, but in a very very good way. that movie is better by a mile. the cg took all the charm out of it. i think if they would have used stop motion like in the original, it may have been better. it was just a waste of 80 bucks (four 14 dollar tickets food/drinks for all). not a good way to start off the blockbuster season. lets hope iron man 2 is better.
the 1st half really holds d movie but the 2nd half seems like fake aint tat gud... wil rate 3/5 for the movie...
i havnt had the pleasure of seeing this movie in the theater, ive only seen the cam version on here, but i gotta say that i didnt really like it either way, it was too boring and too much CGI.. i hate that crap (CGI) !!!

I agree with the critic all almost every account except that this belongs in the NeverEnding Story (1984), Willow (1988), and Clash of the titan (1981) era. The original is still far superior on all accounts; especially in the character design department.
this movie ain't bit silly it is silly
i really feel sleepy at the theatre

nice movie based on titans and gods ,,,like the game god of war
the movie sucked , the 3D was a sham and should have never been done that way, either film it in 3D or leave it be. No better then the original which was an overhyped P.O.S. Alot fo talent wasted in this film 1/2 star out of 4
After watching the 1st hour of this. Being a HUGE fan of the original. I was trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. But what a pile of dog crap. They took the storyline of the first one and just threw in the garbage can. The first one's storyline was a masterpiece. This one is absolute garbage. For all you fans of this remake. Sit and watch the original. I loved the special effects. Storyline was shyte!
