Hackers breached Taylor Swift’s Instagram and Twitter a few days ago and asked her 51.4 million followers to follow @lizzard and @veriuser (Swift’s accounts are quite popular ¬– for example, it is the 4th largest on Twitter).
The former of the mentioned accounts is currently suspended. It appeared to belong to the leader of Lizard Squad – a group of hackers responsible for many hacking attacks on online portals, including North Korea’s online service. They are also the ones who disrupted the operation of Microsoft’s Xbox Live and Sony’s PlayStation Network over Christmas holidays. Lizard Squad was also suspected to have something to do with the outages on Facebook and Instagram a few days ago, but social media services denied this, citing internal issues. It is also known that the hackers were trying to make money on their hacks, by selling the hacking tools online for various prices.
The latter of the accounts “Swift” asked to follow tweeted a screenshot demonstrating that it had access to the singer’s account. In respond, Swift fans just asked the hackers to follow them back from the star’s account. However, the hackers had not much time to play the game: the messages from Swift’s Twitter account were erased 15 minutes after they were posted. In the meantime, it is known that her Instagram feed was also hacked, and her 20 million followers saw such images like a man squatting on a toilet, coupled with the similar messages inviting everyone to follow hackers’ accounts. Instagram was cleaned up a few minutes after the pictures were posted.
The most interesting part is that @lizzard Twitter account, before being taken down, threatened to sell nude images of Taylor Swift for 3 Bitcoins (which is about $780). The singer responded to the hack on her personal tumblr page, explaining that Twitter took a swift action and was deleting the hacker tweets and locking the singer’s account until the security experts could figure out how it was hacked and get her new passwords.
A bit later, the singer jeered at the hackers’ claims to have nude pictures of her on Twitter, saying “Have fun photoshopping” because nothing of such a sort could be grabbed by the intruders. This far, no such pictures have been seen online.

|How not to win friends and influence people Not,hacking corporations and the man is acceptable and even applauded, but when persecuting individuals any reputation for such purile actions is seen as detestable and pointless since it is the corporations and not the artists that make the big bucks from their performances and who set the scale as to costs of records made by them.If a reputation for being a black hat or even a grey hat is sought there are much better people to target if they have the nutz to do so and I do believe David Cameron has a Twitter acc and a much more politically correct target for their Ire or the leader of UKIP or even Tony Blair, thats if they are not just targeting 13 year old fans and actually want to make a statement and a name for themselves.|
|maybe this Lizard squad should do more productive hacking like clearing everyone's credit history or taking down the corrupt banking system, who gives a shit about Taylor swift|
