The FBI and the US State Department have offered a $3,000,000 reward for information that can help arrest or convict a Russian national Evgeniy Bogachev. $3m is recognized as the highest bounty the United States has ever offered for a cybercriminal.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation even issued a “Wanted” poster for the hacker, who is charged in the US with running a computer attack network called GameOver Zeus. As you may remember, it allegedly stole over $100m from bank accounts.
Indeed, Evgeniy Bogachev has been charged by federal authorities with conspiracy, computer hacking, wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering as the creator and administrator of the malware. In addition, Bogachev also faces federal bank fraud conspiracy charges related to his alleged involvement in an earlier variant of Zeus dubbed Jabber Zeus.
According to FBI officials, they believed Evgeniy Bogachev was still in the Russian Federation. The head of the FBI’s cyber-crime division claimed that the FBI had information about sixty different cyberthreat groups linked to nation-states, although he didn’t clarify which countries were believed to be behind those groups. As for Russia’s internal security agency (the FSB), it had recently expressed tentative interest in cooperating with American authorities on investigating cybercrimes. However, the offer of cooperation is not linked to this particular case.
In the meantime, China didn’t show any interest in cooperating with the US on cybercrimes and this can be understood: four months ago, the US indicted 5 Chinese military officers and accused them of hacking into American nuclear power, metals and solar products industries. Then, it took the Bureau a month to learn that North Korean government was behind the Sony Pictures studio’s large-scale cyber-attack. Although there were some assertions from security experts that the intruders might have had help from insiders at the Sony Pictures studio, the FBI didn’t find any evidence to back up such claims.
Overall, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had learned of more than a hundred major cyber-attacks last year, and evidence of insider collusion was found in “less than a handful” of those cases.Posted by: Date:

What a loser!
Well done to him.A loser ?? huh very clever RICH loser.
Those they have`nt already recruited get the hounds sent after them, those that capitulate get million dollar a year with 5 year non disclosure contracts as was the case when the Pentagon got hacked by college kids,Sony will get hacked again and again and again, but hey-ho the American government are not the ones who should throw stones since they have blatantly lied about unconstitutional spying on their own and the world not to mention ransacking Google servers outside of the USA and a whole list of crimes in their own country and others a case of the pot calling the kettle black, let him who is without sin cast the first stone. The FBI should be investigating and prosecuting those who break federal and constitutional laws within America before chasing crimminals overseas since they have enough evidence to arrest the head of the NSA for lying to congress under oath and Obama for the unconstitutional creation of homeland security forces to start with since according to the constitution no military force outside of the Army should have helicopter gunships and Automatic weapons within the borders of the USA,it is a question of one law for the rich and another for the poor and they get away with it everyday and when they don`t they lie and blame the easiest targets like the Chinese, wake up people simple haxors are not the enemy you really need to chase down but those that control your lives 24/7 in the name of freedoms they strip from you on a daily basis.

Just one thing Embolism,Obama didn't create home land security..I think it burst.
I think Obama just needed to go straight after his first term and giving carte Blanc on waterboarding almost as soon as he was sworn in,the fact that he got a Nobel peace prize for overturning his order allowing it 12 weeks later was farcical at best when so many others do real good and get no recognition at all for helping their fellow man,George Bush did in fact create Homeland security but it is only in the time of Obama`s presidency that they have acted as an armed force within America itself with far reaching powers superceeding the US army and police force, much like Hitlers Gestapo and they regularly breach the constitution in detaining and searching people without due process (4th and 5th Amendment),as in this case h.t.t.ps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DHv3aNe-8c back in 2010,I watched the trial and could`nt believe they tazered the guy 2 x for a total of about 12 seconds when he was doing nothing wrong.
Wonder How he did it!?Kind of a genius although what he did is a huge crime!!

Much like Hitler's Gestapo? Please!
@8 Much like Hitler's Gestapo? Please!;Hitlers Gestapo was a military police force separate to the Army which is in effect the same as Homeland security, they controlled by fear and were the right hand of Hitler in keeping the people in check as well as the military,(secret state fascist police).h.t.t.p.s://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo
ruling through the use of fear generated in the populace by mistrust, imposed poverty and sanctions is not a new game,Gitmo is having a facelift as I type with another 600 spaces for inmates is the illegal short term facilty going to be housing that many terrorists from Al-queda or is it for the people who are dissenters of policy in days to come.
Vladimir Putin is the most wanted Dictator. Or just D!ck.
Did not Obama sign to hack Iran Nuclear plant in 2010, basically telling other countries it is ok. Confirmed by Snowden, also they hacked Germanys president's phone, trying to steal the UK public confidentiality, though their lives are public property they are still privacy. No wonder Obama hates whistle blowers....
