After receiving a severe penalty, KickassTorrents has become unfindable in Google search engine. Instead, the top search result now refers to a scam website, which is serving malware to visitors. This far, DuckDuckGo is the only search engine that presents the real KickassTorrents as a main result.
Accounting for millions of visitors per day, KickassTorrents may be considered the most visited torrent portal – even more popular than The Pirate Bay. After switching through several domains, KickassTorrents has stopped at the KAT.cr domain name. Recently, many infrequent visitors have experienced trouble locating the service, which causes various problems.
Normally, the service could be easily found via Google search engine, but now it doesn’t work. It turned out that the official KAT.cr address can’t be found anywhere in the top results – instead, users are directed to the unknown and unaffiliated Kickasstorrents.eu domain. Google also recently started to penalize its pages for some reasons. Although there should be ways to solve the problems, the website is not doing any search engine optimization at the moment.
Worse still, it turned out that .eu site which Google places on the top is a scam. The site doesn’t offer any torrents – instead, it serves visitors with File_Downloader.exe, which appears to be malware. Apparently, this is not good that Google is sending tens of thousands of visitors to such a website. KickassTorrents encourages Internet users to check the official social network accounts for the latest official domain name.
As you can see, not all search engines treat KickassTorrents the same – for example, DuckDuckGo does the best job: it identifies the correct domain and even tags it as an “official site”.

And half of those who get the malware/whatever, probably will blame torrent sites for it instead of their own noobishness. And it goes on an on...
If you do a search for "kickass torrent" then the correct site is also the top result on Bing.
I know ..Bing!?? The weird thing is that its actually becoming my goto search site for when I'm hunting down hard to find music. Google has become a pain to use in the past year, just page after page of dead links but put the same search into Bing and what I want is usually on the first or second page of results.
Yeah, I know, Bing?? Better than Google!?? ...who'd a thought that? It kinda weirds me me out a bit.
I did a search for it on google second link worked perfectly granted it was an indirect link for the walking dead but it took me right to kickass.
Thank god it didn't happened before,i already added it in my bookmark earlier
Google doing harm to regular people.
thanks been wondering why i couldn't get it to work right this explains it

The Ixquick search engine still lists KAT.cr as #1 result.
They claim to be the worlds most private search engine.
They also claim to be the only search engine that doesn't record your IP adress or your search history.
If you aren't a huge fan of Big Brother snooping around your internet activity, it might be worth checking them out.
I can still find Kickass torrent on Google.
So what are you talking about SaM!
