Comcast Sends Spongebob ‘Pirate’ 44 Notices For One Download

Like many large Internet service providers in the US and Canada, Comcast forwards copyright infringement notices to subscribers who have allegedly downloaded torrents. These DMCA notices list the title, IP-address, and other download details. They are also accompanied by a stark warning notifying the subscriber of a possible account termination

Usually, alleged downloaders only receive one notice per offence, but one Comcast subscriber received a whole stack in the mail this week.
The subscriber, who posted his story on Reddit, was sent 44 letters for one and the same torrent. The Spongebob Season 8 torrent was downloaded by his brother and is apparently well tracked.

According to Reddit's user story:

“So, my brother pirated some torrent for season 8 of spongebob squarepants like a week or two ago. Then a couple days ago in the mail, I get 36 letters in the mail all basically the same thing, informing me of a copyright infringement with a torrent of spongebob season 8. So now, 2 days later, they sent ANOTHER 8 letters for the same exact torrent lol. So that's 44 letters total, for a single torrent, in only a couple of days. I don't have a picture of the original 36 since I just kind of laughed and threw them away, but this time I took a picture of the 8 they sent: http://i.imgur.com/jng0jcb.png

ExtraTorrent strongly recommends using VPN to avoid copyright infringement notices while downloading or torrenting the files. VPN hides your IP address and your identity, it encrypts traffic and has no logging, so, your IP address will never be revealed and you will be 100% ANONYMOUS while torrenting and downloading. Government or your ISP can't track your torrent activity.

With a VPN, you are free to download any files you need without any risk.

MCLurken avatarNot really a big deal. Over the past 3 years I have received over 100 notices from Comcast. The solution - stop seeding the file(s) in question. It's six strikes and your out system in the States and Comcast hasn't even given me one strike with over 100 copyright notices. A copyright notice does not equal a strike.

No avatarIF ITS ON FREE TO AIR TV and you can record it for later on your pvr or dvr or old school vcr whats the issue also if you pay for cable or sat tv to watch it then havent you paid for it anyways,
and if you dont have any of the above ways to record it you are only using others recordings to get a hold of it .and torrenters share not sell it its content we are the NON FOR PROFIT PIRATES THEN LOL

Sammy1968 avatarThis should come as no surprise. Has anyone googled a torrent yet? Most sites are blocked from Google. Censorship happens and sucks. There are always ways of get around it, but censorship is or should be a crime.

analogkid6103 avatarUse Duck Duck Go. And if you really must use google they do list torrents but not in the first 10 or 20.
Go into search settings and open her up, take it to 100 results per page and most all shall be revealed. The first 10 to 20 are sponsored results for the most part.
Not real results at all. I learned that in my first 3 days online. Try it and learn.
