Netflix, movie streaming service, opened its service in 130 new countries, including India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Russia — but crucially not China. Netflix is now available in 190 countries, unless you happen to live in China, North Korea, Syria or the Crimea. The surprise reveal came at CES 2016
, where the company had expected to announce its long-awaited entry into India.
Unlike YouTube, which is geared toward shorter, native content, Netflix offers full-length movies and TV shows, including its own content, such as the Netflix-produced House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.
Starting now, India, Pakistan and other countries can stream Netflix content by subscribing to one of the three models—basic, standard, and premium, starting at $7.99. For the first month, Netflix is offering unlimited streaming for free.
Unfortunately, the most popular tv shows ( 'House of Cards', 'Orange is the New Black' and etc) will be not available in the new countries through Netflix as a result of licensing arrangements. The most popular TV shows are country restricted and available for the US or the UK subscribers only.
The tech-savvy users in India and Paksitan started using a VPN
- software that allows you to access the Internet while appearing to be in another country. For example, in India, the local catalog doesn’t include 'House of Cards', 'Orange is the New Black' from the U.S. and UK. Having a VPN allows users in India to bypass that restriction
by making Netflix think they are in the U.S. That gives access to content that nobody in India can view on the service.
So which VPN should you use?
ExtraTorrent recommends using any paid VPN
to bypass Netflix country restictions. After free VPN Hola got hacked
, its users were manipulated to direct DDOS attacks. While Hola and others claim to uphold user privacy, we’d advocate paid software as being a better bet.
ExtraTorrent's Best Choice is Trust.Zone VPN
Trust.Zone VPN founded by part of ExtraTorrent community
to protect users online idenity while torrenting, hide real location of ExtraTorrent fans and bypass GEO restrictions. Trust.Zone VPN
is easy-to-use tool that prevents your ISP from sending Copyright Infringement Notices
by hiding your real location and your real IP address. With Trust.Zone VPN
you can stream any country-restricted Netflix TV Show.Posted by: Date:

Great news for those 130 countries i guess. The restriction is sucky though.
i have ETfilx no want more FLIX
Who needs Netflix when we have sites like this. I buy most of my games after playing them
for awhile to see if they are any good. Movies are not so good these days, but I will buy
a few if there are good enough to watch more than once or a friend has not seen it.
Am I the only one who read this and said "This is a big add to sell VPN"?
If you watch South Park Jimmy would say the same thing. If not you are missing a good show.
I miss the good old days when the news was something to read, not just an ad for VPN.
yes you are only one who read this topic as ad.
I knew it. Guess I'm smarter than the average Joe.
