Herman Klimenko, a newly appointed Russian president's adviser on the Internet, appeared to be an owner of the resource Torrnado.ru, which offers users illegal videos. According to the local sources, the business was owned by Klimenko until recently, but then was handed over to his son after his appointment to public office.
Klimenko is a known expert in the Internet industry. He founded the Internet service LiveInternet with its own platform for blogging and regularly appeared in the press as an analyst and expert on various topics related to the Internet. In 2013, Klimenko was appointed a president of the Association of e-Commerce Development. In January 2014, he launched a news aggregator "MediaMetrics" based on data from social networks: it ranks the news and articles depending on the number of conversions from social networks. Until recently, Klimenko headed the Institute of the Internet Development, but in December 2015, Vladimir Putin offered him a position in the presidential administration as an adviser on the development of the Internet.
Curiously enough, Torrnado.ru services are advertised on the LiveInternet main page. According to Whois, Torrnado.ru domain belongs to “Complex Solutions” LLC, registered in Moscow, headed and owned by Alevtina Jacobson.
Both the company and its CEO have been mentioned earlier in connection with other Klimenko’s assets. Recently, the Russian Internet watchdog registered MediaMetrics media channel, affiliated with the Klimenko’s MediaMetrics online service. The certificate of registration of mass media with the watchdog has been received in order to obtain the right to broadcast through cable networks. The founder of the media was “Complex Solutions” LLC, the 100% owner of the company was Alevtina Jacobson. According to Herman Klimenko, Jacobson is his "long-term employee."
Torrnado.ru offers to download movies that were released recently – in particular, the movies "The Revenant" and "Bridge of Spies". Rights holders do not cooperate with the torrent trackers and very rarely allow even legal resources to share the recently released video. So the films offered by Torrnado are clearly pirated products.
Klimenko personally didn’t comment on whether the Torrnado.ru resource belongs to him, nor did he answer questions relating to the legality of the content on this resource. However, in one of his Facebook posts he acknowledged that he "never denied" his involvement in Torrnado.
Recently, Klimenko said that the issue of copyright protection on the Internet during the economic crisis should not be escalated: "You can go back to it when there is a growth in the economy. In fact, the consumption of copyright content increases with economic growth, but when the situation is aggravated, I think people should not be terrorized with these issues," said Klimenko. According to him, the authors should be more correct in difficult economic conditions in relation to the population.

these lines, thats the true part here.
|So is what he is saying that we should wait for the end of the recession before hitting up all the violators of copyright infringement so we can then cane them and get a more lucrative payout sensible,of course it is for the benefit of the Russian government and the corporations in the USA.It allows him a breathing space to keep making money off his site and ensures that he has enough time to distance himself from his involvement in the site before he lets loose the dogs on everyone else, maybe I am too cynical but it seems that self interest is not limited to the politicians and media corporations alone in this regard but to their advisors also.|
