Apple escalates a legal battle with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is trying to access encrypted data on an iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino killers. Now Facebook and Twitter also joined Apple, pledging that they will “aggressively fight” any attempts to weaken encryption.
For example, Facebook announced that it condemns terrorism and have total solidarity with victims of terror, but this is not a reason to comply with requirements for tech giants to weaken the security of their systems, because it would create a chilling precedent and obstruct companies’ efforts to secure their products. Twitter’s CEO also announced the company stands with Apple in this case. This support follows remarkable public statements by other tech giants, including Google’s CEO, who claimed that requirements to enable hacking of customer devices and data could be a troubling precedent.
Indeed, this case shows the greatest amount of solidarity to date over a specific conflict of the tech companies with the government. It all started after a federal magistrate has ordered Apple to develop software update that would make it easier to guess the password of an iPhone 5c owned by one of the killers in a mass shooting at a government building near Los Angeles. This raised many concerns, with industry lawyers fearing such moves would wreck the trust that consumers have in the tech company’s security. In the meantime, presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton said they would prefer to find a middle ground and avoid taking sides in this controversial case, calling for the government and the tech companies to keep working together and find a solution that would satisfy both parties.

the fix to this problem is simple , give apple the phone , they break into it retrieve the information and give it to the FBI , all solved but wait the FBI , NSA and the CIA and all the grubby little covert teams in the USA want there iPhone hack and will do anything to get it.....
Once they give encryption keys to any of their devices they are finished,it is bad enough that apples TOS states they will give any data encrypted or otherwise to the MAN should it breach their TOS but to give them the keys without any proof that the phone was used in the pursuit of an offense without any indication it was used in wrongdoing is not grounds for them to violate their agreement with the owner of said phone and violate his privacy.
Well...the sad truth is this is all nonsense. Apple, Facebook and Twitter all in bed with the government and all your applications, Windows, Android and yes even OS have back door. Without it, the government would not allowed this individual company to run their business.
Remember? How many Facebook users and Twitter users have been arrested for minor crimes? These perverts and hypercritics just want to try how far they can push you, making all kind of excuse to get into your pants.
Oh yah! Apple, Facebook and Twitter only want to pretend they are on your side. THEY HAVE BEEN CRITICIZED FOR NOT STADNING UP AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. DONT FORGET... BANKERS= MILITARY INDUSTRAIL COMPLEX=CIA=TERRORRISTS=HACKERS=GOVERNMENT=BIG BROTHER, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
...AND IS IT JUST ME OR EXTRATORRENT IS HACKED? SINCE COUPLE DAYS AGO EVERY TIME I VISIT EXTRATORRENT...IT TAKES ME TO ANOTHER AD SITE. HMMM...IF SOME ONE CAN RESPOND...I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY!!
