An individual selling crack cocaine and crystal meth on the infamous Silk Road website has received jail sentence of 5 years and 2 months. Peter Ward, aka PlutoPete, sold illegal drugs and legal highs through the Silk Road marketplace. PlutoPete was also known for providing prisoners with the so-called “care packages” of drugs hidden in blotting paper.
According to the National Crime Agency, the drug dealer was jailed in the United Kingdom after admitting 13 counts linked to the possession, supply and importation of drugs. It should be noted that another person was also sentenced: Richard Hiley was caught converting Bitcoin into cash for Peter Ward and dealing drugs himself.
Richard Hiley, 30, used a variety of online names, such as “RichieRich” and “happyman”. He admitted the same charges along with 2 counts of importing stun guns. This drug dealer also received 5 years in jail. Peter Ward was first arrested in October 2013 as part of a crackdown on the so-called “dark web”, which is a network of unlisted and hard-to-trace online services often used for illegal trade and other kinds of crime. Ward ran a business that sold foil packaging claimed to be able to stop drugs being detected. During the arrest at his house, class A and B drugs were found, as well as the details of transactions with 54 illegal drugs.
As for Hiley’s home, it was also raided more than two years ago, with records of 242 sales of cocaine, cannabis and crystal meth being found. In the meantime, one of the buyers sent a message saying they had spent 3 weeks in hospital after taking drugs.
The National Crime Agency reminded that many criminals like to think that dark web marketplaces are an anonymous haven, but they actually do not.

|Online was his first mistake, Dumbass.|
|For every one caught 1,000 got away. Please remind your drug dealer of THAT : / And...for every dollar spent on fighting drug distribution there's a wasted dollar that did nothing to stop drug distribution.|
