|The mass collection of personal information by British spy agencies is very helpful in preventing terrorist attacks, as concluded by an independent reviewer of terrorism legislation. He believes that laws providing MI5, MI6 and GCHQ the right to collect large volumes of data from people had a “clear operational purpose”.
Theresa May welcomed the findings, but the Labour and privacy campaigners had some concerns. The shadow home secretary also said it was concerning that Theresa May had not accepted the expert’s recommendation for an advisory panel on technology. The expert report stated that bulk interception was very useful to the security services in cases where collecting large amounts of data on people unlikely to be under suspicion was otherwise impossible.
Back in November 2015, in her role as home secretary, Theresa May presented a draft of the communications data bill granting police and spies broad investigative powers meant to help protect the country from criminals, pedophiles and terrorists. An independent reviewer confirmed that bulk powers significantly contribute to identifying, understanding and averting threats in the country, used in cyber defense, counter-espionage and counter-terrorism. The inquiry in question recommended to appoint a panel of independent academics and experts to advise on technology and intelligence issues.
Lawmakers point out that bulk powers are among the most controversial tactics included in the draft of the surveillance law, which is going through parliament. Such tactics includes a range of techniques used to collect data in large volumes and generate intelligence about threats that can’t be obtained by more targeted means.

Just like POKEMON GO was funded by the CIA and the license agreement states they can sell or give any data collected by the game to govt agencies and corporations. Including GPS camera etc. No wonder you need to use your camera to play now the cia has hundreds of millions of camera's worldwide giving previously unavailable camera footage of the inside of buildings and homes etc to the cia. Do you play pokemon go?
Why do you think all the worldwide news and tv programs talked about pokemon go every day endlessly when the game game out, for weeks. to give free advertising and promote the game to help the CIA etc get access to millions of users camera's. Good little puppet worldwide media and puppet news casters worldwide. Fake controlled news.
" to help protect the country from criminals, pedophiles and terrorists" Did she really delineate between criminals and these other criminals? I was thinking this sounded a bit iffy - mass surveillance under the guise of protection - but if she said that then this is surely uber iffy. In the olden days this would have been introduced to contain various groups such as witches, blacks and homosexuals. Protect the children. That poor black homosexual witch has no chance.
Difficult call tho because such intel would be good for catching criminals.
Why the NSA logo in an article about the Brits? Mass surveillance is never going to stop until it is stopped.

To protect from criminals? They use it for looting, stalking, blackmailing... etc. Last I heard those were crimes themselves!
