US Copyright Group, while suing over 50 thousand of BitTorrent file-sharers, has found a time to also accuse the Time Warner ISP of copyright violation, arguing that the reason for it was hiding the personal information of the accused users, thus creating an impression of being a safe haven for illegal file-sharers.
The venture from DC, US Copyright Group, continues its attempts to sue plenty of people for unauthorized exchange of several indie movies like “Steam Experiment,” “Gray Man,” or “The Hurt Locker”. The venture hoped to achieve good results thanks to mass litigation. But soon it found that some of the ISPs are not all eager to disclose their users’ identities. Time Warner appeared to be not so willing and passive, as US Copyright Group had hoped it would be.
First of all, the ISP limited the number of disclosed identities to 28 per month as a maximum. It said it’s the upper limit of what the company can reasonably handle. Besides, Time Warner also requires the US Copyright Group to pay $32.50 for each single filing as a fee.
The ISP pointed out that it used to receive over 500 IP lookup requests every month before, and almost all of them were from law enforcement, but those included serious and emergency issues involved, like physical injury or even a death. They were about terrorist activity usually, or suicide and child abduction – in one word, much more important things than downloading an illegal copy of the horrible film “The Hurt Locker.”
Time Warner also said that at the beginning of negotiations with the US Copyright Group, its lawyer agreed to this, but later changed his mind, demanding the personal information of over 800 users in a month, with letters requesting of 400 and 200 IPs soon thereafter.
The copyright outfit responded with an assumption that in such case ISP might be complicit in their users’ illegal activity, exposing itself to a lawsuit on the issue of contributory copyright violation. This means that the US Copyright Group might bring the case to the court.
Well, it would be a very desperate effort for them, since they still have over 50 thousand people to sue. Actually, if they want finish it in this lifetime, they don’t have time to spend. Time Warner can help them with 28 people per month, thus making it longer than 4 years for filing all 1400 identities US Copyright Group asked for.

|Diddles, that's douche bag and you're right, grammer is not the issue. No one cares about spelling either. LOL |
Seriously though, there is a lot more to care about than spelling or grammer but it doesn't hurt to get your message across as something more than an "edumakated moe-ron".
Not putting that label on anyone just saying you shouldn't make fun of the person who is correct, it makes you look bad.
