|The tech giant has responded (in 100 pages) to the European Commission’s statement of objections against Google Shopping, declaring it “wrong on the facts, the law, and the economics”. As a result, Google dismissed the case as just “the interests of a small number of websites”.
The European Commission has been looking into Google’s activities for 7 years now, with the case revolving around the accusation of the company’s market dominance being used to leverage its price comparison service to the detriment of other services.
Within its response to the European Commission, the search giant explained that its Shopping service was just the result of its effort to present Internet users with useful information and direct answers to questions. The exclusion of third-party retailers like Amazon and eBay from the case was also wrong, because they compete with price comparison sites as well, despite paying for referral traffic. The company believes that consumers don’t just look for products on a search engine – they further go to price comparison services, and finally go to merchant platforms. The last destination can be reached in many different ways: using general search engines, specialist search services, merchant platforms, social media, and online adverts.
The original charges against Google were filed last year, and Google responded them later in 2015. Updated charges in the Google Shopping case were then filed by the European Commission in July 2016, including charges against Adsense. The tech giant is also facing antitrust charges against its Android mobile OS, which is used by the majority of smartphones all over the world. Google was given until 11 November to respond in the Android case, otherwise it can face fines of up to 10% of its global turnover.

|Google is just one of several high-tech companies that regularly skew market and labour pricing. Not always by collusion but depressingly too much. The U.S. is also aware of these practices. Check out these terms @ wikipedia if you want to learn more:|

|Google = NSA. Make sure you don't have file called WIPS(wandering IP addresses) on your hard drive. That is one wonderful Google product. One of the files that whoever is stalking my home tried to use.||
