|A well-known sports streaming service Rojadirecta has been operating from Spain without trouble for many years, but now it faced legal difficulties in its activities. For example, a Spanish court has just ordered Rojadirecta to stop offering links to football matches. The site is also the subject of a criminal investigation.
Rojadirecta, one of oldest and most prominent live streaming services, is operated by the Spanish company Puerto 80. The latter previously won 2 local lawsuits, declaring that Rojadirecta operates legally. Even the US government failed to bring the site down – after it seized the site’s domain name, it faced a legal battle and chose to hand it back to the site operators. However, now the site experiences setbacks in court – for example, it has just been ordered to stop linking to certain football streams.
The Spanish court ruled that Rojadirecta must stop offering links to illegal streams of football events following the complaints from the content owners. The decision applies to live and delayed streams of football matches and must be obeyed by the current Rojadirecta.me domain name and any other websites it’s involved in. The court also found that Rojadirecta financially hurts the football broadcasters, who claim hundreds of million in losses and promised to estimate the exact damages in a future proceeding.
Rojadirecta can appeal the ruling and so far continues to link to football matches. The site’s operator appeared in court hiding behind a wig and fake beard. It is known that he was also arrested in a separate criminal investigation a few weeks ago. Spanish authorities revealed that his bank accounts totaled over 11 million euros.

|now if only america had people working that hard to keep jobs in America as it does keeping a hand full of rights owners super rich, because they already rich so helping them out is a waste of my tax money. stop the RIAA and the MPAA or at least hire a few million people in america to show why we are we making this the big no no. i dont care at all if my favorite musicians make more than a good 100,000 a year to live a nice life as long as the rest of the Americans can be making half that. If everyone was ok financially they would be all subscribed to the hilt with stuff. (ok thats a lie I make good money and i download away, well i actually subscribe to a service so i can download that shit and horde it like an old person with a TLC special. (except that hard drives take way less space than your sad memories)||
