Hackers have always been playing around and stealing private information, sometimes for fun and sometimes to use it but mostly for fun. This time they played the hacking game with Apple iPad!!
The group of hackers which committed this so called offense, have reveled on Wednesday that 114,000 people having 3G Apple iPads have been targeted in the incident and their email addresses have been cracked. They have accomplished this security breach by taking advantage of AT&T’s website security vulnerabilities. They have hit on a security flaw and got into it and targeted Business Executives, ordinary people, public and moreover the military personnel too by cracking up their email addresses.
“Goatse Security” is what that group calls itself. Escher Auernheimer aka "Weev", one of the member of the group revealed that they are pursuing special activities so that they can expose the flaws and defects in the securities and to prove how infeasible it is. iPads use an Identification No. while communicating over the widely spread network of AT&T that is known as an ICC-ID and amazingly they have even cracked that too.

According to AT&T, it had noticed the breach on Monday when Gawker, a website reported about the security breakage. After that, a business customer enlightened the possible crackup of ICC-IDS of their iPads. The only information that can be derived from the ICC-ID’s is the email address attached to that device.
AT&T stated that "The issue was escalated to the highest levels of the company and was corrected by Tuesday. We have essentially turned off the feature that provided the email addresses. We are continuing to investigate and will inform all customers whose email addresses may have been obtained."
FBI is into a thorough investigation of the same. A special agent of FBI’s news media office, Jason Pack said, “The F.B.I. is aware of these possible computer intrusions and has opened an investigation to address the potential cyber threat.”
The security experts are still not sure enough if it would turn up into some serious effects for the people who have been targeted and snatched up their information.
According to Experts, “Even in the wrong hands, emails are of limited use beyond sending junk email or attempting to pull people in with so-called phishing attacks.”
Apple have been requested to comment about this security crack-up but nothing came back as a comment yet.

|Curious.... given the glee which WIndows users have risen to attack Aple and the iPad, one cannot wonder what totally secure computer they have been using throughout their lives. Or, having been weaned on Wintel based PC's throughout their game playting lives, have they remained oblivious to the security breaches and back doors promoted by Microsoft Windows ?|
All Heil the power of Microsoft...... let us ignore the closed system, and go back to the DOS Command Console whenever We want.
