Lack of Radio Performance Tax is Compared to Slavery
It seems like House Judiciary Committee Chairman has taken the debate over terrestrial radio that refused to pay performer royalty fees to the next level, saying that the lack of radio performance tax literally makes slaves out of performers. The news was really heated up these days when John Conyers Jr. said that the slavery had been abolished in 1865 by the 13th Amendment
Anti-Piracy Organization Gives Up
We all have heard of the many tales that are overly publicized and spread about the internet, of people whom are take to court, fined, or even convicted of criminal and civil charges for alleged file sharing. This is obviously an overly played out scheme by the corporate run media to scare people away from file sharing. As they say, a dog's bark doesn't necessarily determine it's bite.
Public & Open Torrent Trackers
Since the arrival of the BitTorrent Protocol within the last decade, we've seen the rise and fall of many popular torrent trackers. Trackers are persistent in retaining swarm transmissions, and allow the scrape of public torrents worldwide. With the fall of so many popular trackers, everyone always asks what trackers remain, and what they should use. Here I'll outline for you a small list of public and open torrent trackers, all of which you can use when creating a new .torrent file. I'll also unveil to the public, a new and interesting tracker, the Genocide tracker.
P2P vs Scene: Explained
Seems that many in the open and public torrent world do not understand the memorandum or methodology behind Scene and P2P, so perhaps it's time that we explain a little bit about the history of peer to peer, open torrent sites, the "p2p" groups, and "the scene". There is alot of historical context, propaganda, truth, and hidden despise that comes from this mystery, and we'll dig a little deeper now.
U.S. House Accelerates Anti P2P Legislation
The United States House Of Representatives, which has currently put forth a bill attempting to manipulate or control peer to peer networks, now has even more so a reason to confine these networks and applications. Tiversa Incorporated, a U.S. Security firm, has passed along evidence to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that classified military documents have been shared via some p2p networks. This of course will only inflame the situation, with those in government who lack knowledge of peer to peer networks and how they operate, quickly assuming it's a "devious" world with uncharted and dangerous possibilities.
The World's Largest Copyright Infringer, Google
With such harsh current rulings against the world's many torrent sites, one company is heavily profiting from the types of searches which are responsible for over 60% of all global searches. Google, valiantly remains the world's largest torrent indexer, although some choose to disagree. The debate on Google remains as disputable as any argument, although some of us know, that the unfair war against the torrent site's, is being heavily over-looked against Google.
Sharing Information: Who Is Liable?
Many wonder, what is the war against the file sharing community based on, and why do torrent sites seem to gain the most attention in terms of legal proceedings? In fact, you can compare a torrent site, to that of your postal delivery service. If you took some copyrighted dvds, and mailed copies of them to your friends, and you were charged, it is unlikely that the postal service would be charged as an "accomplice" in the crime of distributing copyrighted materials. So why do the torrent sites take the fire? When in fact, they are just the guide or messenger telling enabling you to find the "mail" you are trying to get sent. Let's explore this.
Censoring The Internet
Within the last few years, many have watched the internet, rise to heights that at one time, nobody could imagine. The benefits of the internet are endless. Along with this advancement of technology, there have been many who have tried to end the freedoms that the internet allows. The past decade has seen technology advance "the matrix" to a point where it can benefit all of humanity. Some of the techniques which have been implemented in the past decade, are what now stands under scrutiny, and the battle that will ensue from this, could determine the future of the free and open source internet.
File Sharing Is A Right
In the age of modern technology, many have been driven to accept new methods of information technology. Business, governments, and the general public, have all become accustomed to using new and inventive methods of advertising, propaganda, and promotional tools.

In recent years, the Bit Torrent Protocol, has become widely popular, some say accounting for more than 27-55% of all internet traffic. The protocol, invented by Bram Cohen, was intended for users to distribute their arts, software, or creative ideas easily, fast, and reliably. Fast forward to 2009, where everyone is attempting to use this as a tool to promote their business, website, products, or innovations. It is also used to distribute materials which some say have copyrights, and thus, sparking a moral and legal battle globally.

The climate that has resulted from this, is as if an ugly cloud of seemingly endless attacks have been spread over the internet, bringing with it a storm of possible censorship and accountability. This debate can be viewed in many ways, and I will discuss some of the points here today. From a "fair" perspective.
