Most torrent programmes have a set of trafic lights, if none of them ever go green, always stay yellow, you're unconnectable, need to open your ports/firewall.
Torrent downloads enter and leave your PC by things called 'Ports' these have to be open for you to share files. If they're only open for outgoing or closed Torrent's simply won't work.
Now every router/firewall is different so I can't give specific instructions but I can give you the basic info. You can google, 'How to open ports in **** firewall?' or 'how to turn of firewall in ***** router?'
1. Are you using a router? Yes? It's got a built in firewall you need to deal with it. Turn it off or Open it to all, everything, download/upload or open the ports you're using.
2. What ports are you using? You'll find this info somewhere in your torrent programme, just search the menus.
3. PC Firewall. Open it to the Torrent programme you're using, bittormado, Azures, ABC, etc. Open the bittorrent ports for in/out TCP.
4. Having specific problems? Ask and I'll try to help. |
