But I would like any information you can give me on how to pick a torrent that is likely to give good download speed. So far I have stuck to torrents that have the full green health bar, but some give me speeds of 400kbs, but other give only around 20kbs. Is there any "rule of thumb" such as if the number of trackers, or number of seeders is less than X, don't bother? Or if the ratio of Leechers to Seeders is greater than X, don't bother? I really don't understand any of this, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

There can be 1000 people seeding something but if none of them are uploading with any speed you will still D/L like shit. My own rule of thumb stick to higher seed/peer torrents for better odds. Another thing I do as well is i give a torrent about an hour and if its not moving at the speed I want, I just try to find another if I need it that fast..LOL I just downloaded some flicks that had tons of seeders and i never got over 40 d/l off them and it took me days..but hey, its free so WTF...lol and sometimes I download a torrent that has like 10 seeders and its done in an hour... Bottom line being there is no guarantee or sure thing as far as a fast d/l. As far as I am aware of anyways.

	Posted: Thu Jan 15, 2009 17:51 Author: admin Many reasons to have slow download speed. It depends on seeds, trackers and your internet line. Seeds with low internet or limiting speed, very busy tracker etc etc...
