According to a US study computer related injuries are on the rise.
Between 1994 and 2006, over 78,000 patients were treated for injuries caused by computer use, with 93% of accidents occuring in the home. Over the course of the study the injury rate increased
by 7,325, which is a huge increase- over double that of the rise in household computer ownership.

A man from Rhode Island was putting together his pc having removed the case for a sleek, stylish wooden one. The man realised the heat sink that came with the Pentium II processor didnt fit the new case so he removed it. Little surprise that when he booted the computer up it burst into flames and burnt the lot to a crisp all that was left was a pile of ash, he was lucky the house didn't go up.

A man in Tulsa in the US came upon a unique idea of how to make his fortune from just his computer system. The man, knowing that mercury can be used to seperate gold via a chemical reaction, presumed he could extract some of the gold from his computer parts. Unfortunately, he inhaled some of the mercury with fatal consequences. Futhermore his house was apparently left so contaminated that it could no longer be lived in.....mmmmmm!!!!!! silly billy... |
