Cut your finger putting together your last system build? Spare a thought for some
people involved in these computing mishaps
According to a US study computer related injuries are on the rise.
Between 1994 and 2006, over 78,000 patients were treated for injuries caused by computer use, with 93% of accidents occuring in the home. Over the course of the study the injury rate increased
by 7,325, which is a huge increase- over double that of the rise in household computer ownership.
Its not just in the US in the UK computer related accidents increased from 800 in 1995 to well over 2,000 in 2002. lol (that was mine alone).
You ever done multi tasking when driving , bad idea.....
A man in California was killed in 2007 when his Honda Accord crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle.Highway Patrol officers found the man's laptop plugged into the cigarrette lighter still running.(Hope he was seeding back Lol)
Jokin aside were always told eating, using mobile phones etc leads to accidents well here it is.
510 people have been charged in California with using a computer monitor, tv or video while driving
Across the border in Canada a woman in British Columbia was killed in the most unfortunate of cases
she was struck in the back of her head/neck by her own laptop. Her luggage was on the back seat and her laptop was loose on with the luggage she was struck from behind, the force of the impact sent her laptop into her head.Experts said if the laptop had been secure she would have lived...
A computer consultant in Bedford Hills New york was using a rental car and his GPS failed to recognise the train tracks he was heading for, instructing the driver to turn right onto them thus resulting in the car becoming stuck. It failed to warn him of the train careering down the track, the driver survived but the car and train track didnt..

A 37 year old Canadian was jogging during a storm listening to his ipod.A nearby tree was struck by lightning and he was caught in the crossfire as some of the current grounded throught him , throwing him over 8feet into the air. H e had major burns and a fractured jaw but survived the ordeal.... Such cases have been reported during storms of people being struck while on mobile phones thus resulting in severe burns to the face.
A chinese student felt it was too hot to run his computer indoors so, not wanting to turn the air con on he decided to remove the case to let some air in and cool the processor, the grand plan being to run a more efficient system. However he came into contact with the internal wires and paid the ultimate price............(wot a dufus) lol
A man from Rhode Island was putting together his pc having removed the case for a sleek, stylish wooden one. The man realised the heat sink that came with the Pentium II processor didnt fit the new case so he removed it. Little surprise that when he booted the computer up it burst into flames and burnt the lot to a crisp all that was left was a pile of ash, he was lucky the house didn't go up.
My Favourite one LMAO although shouldn't really...
A man in Tulsa in the US came upon a unique idea of how to make his fortune from just his computer system. The man, knowing that mercury can be used to seperate gold via a chemical reaction, presumed he could extract some of the gold from his computer parts. Unfortunately, he inhaled some of the mercury with fatal consequences. Futhermore his house was apparently left so contaminated that it could no longer be lived in.....mmmmmm!!!!!! silly billy...
