I was just browsing You Tube and spotted that one, just by chance really , but a Seth Troxler's mix is always a nice journey and never a disappointment , then again, I discover it at the same time as you ...
Seth Troxler - Live at Sonar Festival ( 25/06/15.)
"In the early noughties, Josh Scott was part of the same Wisconsin music scene as Justin Vernon (then pre-Bon Iver and playing in DeYarmond Edison), his band, Amateur Love, its reigning kings. But at the precise moment Amateur Love looked set to take off, Scott balked and relocated to Chicago. As his friends’ music careers flourished - Bon Iver, Megafaun, Field Report, Peter Wolf Crier - Scott remained silent. He still wrote songs, but despite the constant encouragement, begging and beseeching of his friends, he refused to do anything with them. It has taken years, a time of illness, depression, isolation, to get him back into the studio, recording a new set of songs as Aero Flynn, with Vernon on production. The result is quite staggering – delicate yet danceable, intimate yet immense; I feel a little dazzled by the science behind its songs. This track gives just a hint of what the record holds, a song that ducks and dives and winds itself around you".
I listened to that track this morning and since then.. I'm totally obsessed ... One word : Acid House ! Damn, it's been a while since I didn't hear such a good track !
Dj Alex Davis ( Maya Records / Laboratory Records / Blend It Records)
As early as the late 80’s, Alex Davis got a kick out of a new emerging sound: Acid House.
At the end of the 90’s he strongly contributed to the development of the electronic scene through his vinyl record shop in Southern France.
He got easily noticed as soon as he came to Paris in 2002 and became resident DJ at the famous Rex Club for the Gravity parties from 2003 to 2006.
Performing at French clubs (Batofar, Nouveau Casino, Petit Bain,
Villa Rouge, Inox…) and abroad (Russia, Tchek Republic, Switzerland, Sweden…) Alex broadens his musical territory through encounters with House legends (Mark-e-Quark, Kenny Hawks, D’Julz, Rasoul, Jerome Pacman...) and Techno pillars (Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Fumiya Tanaka, Stacey Pullen, Ken Ishii, Technasia...)
Eclecticism and crossbreeding are obvious to Alex Davis.
His fluid and colored DJ-sets associate House, Tech House, Deep House, Dub, Freaky, Acid and Deep Techno.
Enthusiastic and charming, Alex Davis mixes in an elaborated style with an effective personal touch, creating a dynamic and festive atmosphere on the dance floor.

He regularly shares the decks with the world’s cream of the crop in Deep music. (Andre Lodemann, Larse, Pupkulies & Rebecca, Vakula, Simon Baker…)
If you think his viral expansion will stop here, you’re wrong! He’s currently refining his first studio album and he has already released several tracks on Maya Records, Laboratory Records, Fusion Recordings or Blend It Records with his friend Herald.
