
| Posted: Tue Dec 29, 2009 07:59 Author:  December 28, 2009 - A Bronx man who stole a Xbox 360 console and other valuables was later caught soon after the thief logged into the system's online account, the The New York Post reports.
Detectives were able to trace the perpetrator's IP address back to his grandmother's home, where they would later find numerous stolen electronic property.
"On the day of the burglary, the victim used another Xbox and saw his system was already online," Detective John Hynes said. "At the house, we found Xboxes, PlayStations, GPS units, laptops -- a total of 53 items, including stolen credit cards."
Jeremiah Gilliam, 22, is being charged with grand larceny.
