This is just a guide to know what is the NFO and text file used for and how to Read it and use it.
What is an NFO File?
This is descriptive information about a torrent in text file format usually containing ASCII art code characters and displayed in a fancy or attractive view. ASCII uses numbers, letters and all the symbols on the keyboard to make pictures. The terminal font is used by default.
What is a Readme File?
Similar to the NFO it contains information about a torrent. This is usually just a standard text file. The word "Read me" is used to draw attention to that file before any other in the torrent. A true read me file will contain usually a configuration instruction, installation info, list of files included, Maintainers and credits.
IF the Readme is saying you need to go to another site to download or need an extension then its just a BS fake text file and should be avoided.
Readme file is just a notepad file, this can be opened in notepad or related program.
How to open a an NFO or Readme file?
NFO usually needs a special NFO viewer extension in xml format from Microsoft. For both types you can just use the notepad to open them. Although NFO wont look as it should with notepad.
To open in notepad just right click the file > open with > choose program > Select Wordpad or Notepad.
I tested a program called "GetDiz" and I created an ASCII art from an online generator and saved it as a text file to my pc. And see how it looks before and after with a few changes, It also saves as a Gif image. Save the file as "NFO" extension.

* Other Option:
Alternately you can also use the notepad > format > font and the default font to terminal. Turn off the bold and/or italic style and make sure Word Wrap is off. When you are all done reading the NFO, you can just switch back to your normal notepad settings.

If you have your own template, you can add it here and also hit the options tab.
I did not add a template, I left it blank.
This is with the automatic built in template design, pretty basic
but play around with it and see what you can make.
Would I use NFO Files?
Well, it depends if it something you like and want to work with to create a more elegant file and also it is handy to create it as an image also. Notepad is what I prefer and thought this might help people wondering what it is and how to use it.
My recommendation for beginners or anyone wanting to get into making NFO files is try one of 3 programs.
Cool Beans NFO Creator
LujoSoft NFO Creator V2
