| Posted: Mon Apr 12, 2010 21:13 Author: sorry i just joined today, so im late in helping, but i noticed you havent been able to resolve this issue, or you havent said so anyways. This sounds like a virus to me. MalWareBytes does good at removing these type of things. RKILL does a good job at shutting down whatever is running and shouldnt be. One way to get them is to restart the computer in SAFE MODE with internet enabled (press F8 a bunch of times at startup untill the options show up) this will load your OS with extentions and hardware severely disabled, but the virus is too. The option to use the internet keeps your LAN/WLAN hardware enabled so you can get on the internet still and download MALWAREBYTES and RKILL. save them to you computer and install MALWAREBYTES and then restart in normal mode. once it restarts, run RKILL and let it do its thing, then when it pops up saying its done (provides a text file showing what it did) then run MALWAREBYTES and do a full scan, then remove whatever it find, restart, and you should be good to go. | |
