I am going to begin this subject with an assumption, that being that like me most of you run into problems and challenges when it comes to dealing with storage for your files regardless of what file format or media type they come in eventually you can amass a large amount of them. Now I have used just about every type of portable USB storage device available and even some streaming devices, but eventually anything that has a usb port that is continuous plugged and unplugged into one source or another is going to fail. you will then be faced with a nasty and horrible dilemma....How do I recover terrabytes of potentially lost movie, music or PDF data? And what if I can't?
I've faced that problem more times than I care to admit and have been on the whole lucky, but sometimes not. Until recently I had stacks of Portable USB drives ranging in size from 250 GB to 2 TB that serve as backups of my backups because i refuse to keep files stored on the drive of my main machine.
Remember I said until recently, because not long ago I became aware of a device that has the potential to solve my storage problems as well as having the potential to eliminate a variety of other troubles and possibly even provide a revenue stream more lucrative that pointperclick advertsing schemes for uploaders.
I am not advertsing this product per se I am not getting paid for sharing my experience with it, I am saying that the application among people in the P2P community has a lot of possibilities and solutions to long experienced challenges. I recently bought one and have been using it for awhile and couldnt be more pleased, I only wish I'd bought one a bit bigger.
