Ok, so I've been lurking around on Extratorrent for quite awhile.
I thought I've make a guide since I've had a couple messages pertaining to my torrents that I've blurred the subtitles.
I use virtualdub to do so, now virtualdub doesn't support all video formats and codecs. You'll have to do some research into opening most formats. What it does support right after installation is avi format (which I prefer)
Ok so download virtualdub and install.
Now to be able to blur subs you have to download a plugin that doesn't come with the install. Google logoaway filter 4.0.1
Download and unzip
and put files into your plugin folder inside the virtualdub folder.
Now the plugin will not show up when you open virtualdub automatically. You'll have to go to Video,Filters,Add,Load, logoaway and select it from the list and click ok.
Once you add it go to configure it'll look like the attachment.
Set the x-y all the way to y and blur power all the way to the + symbol.
Now you want to open preview and drag the preview window where you can see the result of your tinkering.
Set the logo border size try width 300 and height to 30-60 then go to the logo border position x-y.
You want to set the x to around 200 and y to around 100 just until you see the blur bar show up in the preview and you can mess with the dimensions until you get it where you need it to be.
Same goes for the size, increase or decrease as needed once you have a visual representation to work with. Skim through the video in the preview window to make sure the logo(subtitles) you want blurred are done all the way through the movie. When you are satisfied click done and then done again.
To finish and save your new blurred subs(logo) go to File, save as Avi
select your destination folder sit back and wait for it to finish.
to get vdub to accept all formats you need MeGUI
in megui go
AVS Script Creator create the script and hit Save
now drag and drop the AVS script into vdub
in vdub once you have selected your compression in xvid on Two pass hit More and add the avs script to avoid errors
you might need to select All Files when adding script for vdub to see the file
you will need to add your audio track as well in the Audio option
I hope this helps you guys have a Happy Holidays and a Great New Year!
