Hello ETians ,
Hope all are doing fine ...
Nowadays we see many encodes / Remuxes / BDs with DTS-HDMA audio ...
But I see many people who don't know how to encode DTS HDMA
So I thought it would be better to make tutorial for those people ...
Here we go ..........
Material Required :
Any DTS HDMA or DTS audio with high bitrate [At least 1509Kbps]
Surcode DTS Encoder
(Libav / ffmpeg decoder is also needed but it comes with eac3to , no need to install externally)
Introduction to eac3to :
eac3to is the best audio encoding tool. MeGUI also uses eac3to for encoding audio.
eac3to is not only an audio encoding tool , but does many other works like demuxing all tracks from a video , muxing .vob files to mkv etc etc.
We will be using this command :
eac3to.exe "LOCATION of input.dts" "name of the output.dts" -768
= Put here where your eac3to.exe is located
LOCATION of input.dts
= Put where your input file is located (You can get the location in 'Complete Name' in MediaInfo)
name of the output.dts
= Write only the name of the output file. Output will be in the user's folder.(For example , if the name of account you're using is xyz , output will be placed in C:\users/xyz)
= -768 indicates that you want DTS audio having 755 Kbps
If you're still confused with the command , take a look at this example :
C:\eac3to\eac3to.exe "C:\Planes Fire And Rescue 2014 DTS 1509Kbps Eng audio.dts" "Planes Fire And Rescue 2014 DTS 755Kbps audio.dts" -768
Now paste this command in command prompt (You can find it in Start , search for cmd or command prompt)
Paste the command by right clicking and 'Paste' as ctrl + v isn't gonna work in command prompt
After pasting , hit OK and wait for the process to be finished .
Note : eac3to takes time to encode , depending on audio's duration and your CPU
It would look like this when you're done :
Hope this tutorial will help you.
