i say where they uploaded .
A .torrent file is a computer file (instructions) that contains metadata of the files or folders your going to share, and a list of the trackers, which are used to connect to each other and distribute pieces of the file your uploading/downloading and form groups called swarms. A torrent file doesn't hold the content to be shared it only holds info about the files eg, size, name, file type, and the hash (a unique number generated to identify the torrent).
The seeders are people who have a full copy or piece of the file of what is to be shared so your .torrent instructs your computer to connect to the swarm via trackers which also help locate all the pieces.
You the leecher (downloader) will connect to the seeder via trackers to obtain what you wanted.
Again the only thing that's been uploaded is the .torrent file (metadata), I hope that makes sense if not pm sam lol.
