Also tell me how to make uploaded torrents use all my upload speed. uTorrent never seems to use all my speed?
I wish I had THAT problem. I don't know any details and I don't know
if you are new to Torrenting or a old Pro,but here goes.
First you will never upload at the speeds you can download it's
just the nature of the beast. I only get about 1/4 speed when uploading.
Also you can only upload at speeds equal to what your leechers are
able to download. Example; if I upload a new Torrent and within a few
minutes 5 folks are downloading it but I'm still not up to Max speed
it can be several things. Their Bandwidth may suck worse than mine!
They may be downloading 20 torrents at a time. They may be uploading
themselves (that really kills DL speed) and so on...
A good test is when you upload something that folks REALLY want, and
you get 100 leeches at once, ouch. Can you say seed-box? LOL!
Also check your client settings there are many settings that can limit
upload speeds, you will have a global Max UL speed, each torrent can
have a separate speed set.
Then there's "Max Global Connections", "Max upload slots",
"Max Slots per Torrent" ect.. it goes on.
Like I said my current connection is crap compared to what I had when
I started here, I use conservative settings and when I upload a New file
that's ALL I do, just seed THAT file until I get a little swarm going.
Then I may try to seed some older files.
First thing to do though is read all those links pasted above, create a
Torrent or two and get trial uploader status.
