Game is fine but the terrible optimization for PC version has caused a large userbase leaving negative feedback at Steam , developers are fixing it now , stick to torrents for now , its a Refund Simulator at Steam right now lol
I wouldn't say it's fine. Optimization aside, if you play for about an hour, you've seen pretty much the whole game.
There's a few ships to choose from, but it's limited with little customization. Mostly just larger cargos. There's artifacts and other alien crap that try to convey a deeper backstory that isn't interesting or expanded upon. Survival is a hassle and seems only to slow you down rather than add actual depth. You'll spend 90% of time "E"ing things till they explode into your inventory or cough up a silly name for a plant that looks vaguely like a ballsack. Repeat ad infinitum until you have all the monies and best ship, then launch yourself into a sun(which you can't do and made me somewhat sad).
If you like looking at weird plants and ugly as sin animals, but literally nothing else, NMS is probably the game for you. Exploration is the name of the game, but there is very little to see or do.
