if you download torrents, you are cheap too
I'd go for the i5,if you're building a PC then you could get beefier graphics with what you saved,but that's just me
ooh i would go with the i5 but it depends if you really want the i7, i don't own a mobile but know if i did i would be happy to save money with xmas just around the corner it might be very handy to have
your all a bunch of cheap fuckers! The benefits of the I7 far outweigh any imagined savings from going with the older i5 technology.
get the cheaper one and then a magic ball with what you saved, to help you with future decision making
Or get a i7 for 200$.

go for i7
i5 eventually start running like snails there not much faster than the i3 series
i7 always run fast no matter how much you torture your pc
shop around make sure you get a well know good brand
no point in having a better cpu if the brand of pc your buying is shit
if all your going to do is browse the net download stuff and other basic stuff then i guess i5 is fine but take my word for it they eventually slow down even with the basic tasks
I would rather spend my money on this baby. fcking class.;}
No of course not! unless you are planning to heavily multitask or you are using high intensive applications that require a lot of CPU power if you want to single task everything then you will be good with i5 in terms of gaming and other applications too i7 just gives a little bit of more just lets say 5 more fps in gaming like I said if you are single tasking then go for i5 and if you are multi tasking then go for i7.
PS The ram plays a big role if you don't even have 8gb of ram in an i7 then the i7 will also perform like a snail just saying! todays and upcoming programs require a lot ram so my ultimate suggestion would be buy an i5 and spend an extra 50 or 60 bucks on the ram and make it 16gb.
I have to say I am quite happy with my i5... I unfortunately can not compare it to the i7 personally as I do not have it.
But I can say I do loads of transcoding/encodes as well as multi-task while and it seems to do just fine. I have noticed a lil slowing since I first obtained it, not much, but other than that, it still is smooth as...(insert your choice word for something smooth).
