| Hey sorry for asking but I have such a simple problem to fix but have had brain melt down and being a total dumbass.
Just installing all software back on PC,(running windows vista home),have installed Firefox with ET as home page but when viewing it the page is huge and I am trying to fix so page fits to screen so don't need to side scroll, have fixed this before a while ago but just cant remember. been into control panel / tried resetting monitor settings / using Firefox on view to zoom out of page but makes print so small.
but nae luck, and know its so simple to fix but as said being a dumbass the day
many thanks |

| 1. --> Type about:config in location bar and hit Enter
Type browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing in filter bar. make sure
the value is true.
2. --> Page style, switch from Basic to No Style.
Temporary fix for misformatted page with margins too narrow, page too wide. (No adjustment of the corner of the browser would bring the right edge into view except by scrolling back and forth.)
I'm not sure, but I think there are Greasemonkey scripts that could do the same thing by applying a CSS script to the page on the fly.
3. --> Vista's minimum resolution is 1024x768, many web page designers assume that's also their customers' minimum resolution.
.
Therefore, possible solutions include:
1. Increase your screen resolution to the web page designer's minimum
2. Reduce the default font size temporarily with control-minus
3. Use a bigger display
4. Motivate the web page designer to accommodate smaller displays.
4. --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965

Hope one of these help |

That is a zero by the way.
Not sure if that is your issue or not.. but I thought it might be worth a try before you go editing config files

Well number 1 and 2 didnt work! (sorry!)
But number 3 was the breakthrough, started fiddling about with resoloutions in Vista, then on monitor and then with some luck thrown in got it to work, but as said before text still wobbly a bit but saving fix on that for a rainy day.
tried no.4 but wouldn't let me add plugin ( for version 4.3)even though I have V4.3 installed.
am use to using firefox and not a huge fan of google anyway.
So big thanks to the one and only PsYcHaYoGi
PS Hope your fingers are fixed and ok for tommorow and the return of uncles deletes! |
