Adding lists to peerblock

Peerblock is a great piece of kit to give you an extra wee layer of protection to block unwelcome IP's trying to connect to your computer

you can add lists to Peerblock,these additional lists range from hackers to spammers.corporate IP's and spammers

The best place to get you lists from is iblocklist

Sample of lists available

If you open up Peerblock and click on LIST MANAGER

click on ADD

go back to iblocklist highlight and copy the list you want to add

click on the ADD URL in Peerblock and paste iblock list into it

click OK

And you get this with newly added list.

now close Peerblock and new list will be updated.

I would advise when setting up Peerblock to start when you start window,as this will prompt your lists to update automatically

Also please be aware the more lists that you add the slower it will run,and that some lists will block common websites,but this can be changed in Peerblock tools by accepting individual IP's,or by blocking / allowing HTTP

dont have them at the mo,but was thinking bout subscribing to iblocklists only $11 for the year and you get access to a few extra lists plus they give a great service for free so would be nice to support them.Will get back to you on this one.
